When loading a cymbal from another SDX or one panned in position you don’t want, load it into a new mixer channel instead of routing to existing channel.
See this section of the manual and scroll to ROUTE CLOSE MICS TO MIXER CHANNELS…

Thanked by: roland ratIt is available when you add the S3 product to your cart.
It is also available at other 3rd party retailers that may have a better price than the Toontrack Webshop.

The note samples are from the same sample pool regardless of how it “looks” on the interface so it really doesn’t matter which virtual string is played…in other words, the open A, and the same fretted A are the same.

Well, if you have the EZX, the MIDI will playback 100% correct when using the sound library that it came with. If you want to then try an SDX kit with that MIDI, I would say 99% will pay back perfect with the 1% being specific to the EZX.
For the most part its common sense. Like if you have MIDI from the Electronic EZX and expect perfect playback with an acoustic kit, it most likely with have some odd hits. But, it also may be wicked cool 😎
If you want to check and see what it will sound like, you can browse the entire Toontrack MIDI library (EZXs MIDI, SDXs MIDI, or MIDI packs) by using the Show Webshop MIDI option in the Grooves browser.

For the most part, the MIDI works perfectly fine between EZX MIDI and SDX MIDI. Of course there are exceptions. The Latin Cuban Percussion EZX MIDI won’t pay back properly if you load a drum kit.
And some of the MIDI grooves utilize specific kit pieces found only in specific libraries, they won’t trigger without them properly. But, it’s just MIDI and may yield interesting results anyway.

Yes, there is a crossgrade from EZD2 to S3.

Hello,
Â
I just purchased 4 expansion packs today. Two of them loaded with no problem and are functioning in my DAW but the other two says “software update required.” Where do you go to do that? I’ve gone rounds and rounds in circle on this and keeps taking me back to this page. Please advise.
Â
Thank you,
Harry

I see that you’ve downloaded from the website instead of through the Toontrack Product Manager. Please download the Product Manager and use it for checking for updates.

I don’t see Easy Drummer 2 on my Toontracks page. I can not install to my current computer. Can you please remove my authorizations so that I may use the product I bought over 5 years ago; if you think this is the problem. It probably is, since I even tried to install from a safe file on my backup drive. duquemaan@outlook.com

You currently have 1 authorization active and you can authorize your new computer without having any removed. Please authorize your new computer from the Toontrack Product Manager.

From the Post Rock Groove MIDI page:
“Please note that this MIDI is not included in the Post-Rock EZX.”

Currently, you have 2 active authorizations for each one of your products. If you want to authorize your mac, you’ll need to delete one of the 2 you currently have active for each product.

Has your ezdrummer.dll been manually moved since it was installed? Do you have more than 1 EZD2 plugin installed?

Yes. From the link to the manual above:
“Level Property Box can also apply to the entire selected instrument or to only the articulation if a specific articulation is chosen in the Articulation List.”
So, you can select the open articulation only and turn it down specifically. You can’t, however, adjust the volume of individual samples within that articulation pool, only the articulation group.
