Sorry if this has been asked or posted before but are EZD2 samples processed like EZD1 or raw like SD?

I upgraded from Cubase 4LE to Cubase 5.1 then 5.5. EZD worked on all 3 on the instrument track, instrument rack, (5), and midi tracks. The only problem I had was when I installed Win7x64, (Dual Boot With XP), and Cubase 5×64. It didn’t work. After installing the 64bit Beta for EZD the problem went away. You should be able place the EDZ samples on an instrument track too.
Just curious did you use the Instrument Rack or just the Instrument Track? Also you didn’t give specs for your system. I did notice that CB5 used more resources than CB4 LE and I had some crash issues until I increased my memory and processor. I was using  P4 3.2 Ghz and 1.5gigs of ram at the time. I upgraded to a Quad Core, 6 gigs ram. Just some thoughts.

Ok, thanks for the info. Originally I didn’t notice the correct name was in the title bar and was frustrated because I couldn’t tell what sample I had used. But now at least I know can see it in title bar. Thanks Scott.

    ORIGINAL: qbury

I had this problem in LE 4 and unchecked the Auto Dissolve Format 0 and Import to Instrument Tracks in the preferences and that worked. It’s not working for me here. What else am I missing? I did find the run as Administrator check box and checked it.

I deleted the EZD track and re-added and it worked. I guess the preference didn’t change for the previously created track.

Actually, I realized that it is dragging into the project however it is creating another instrument track and putting it there. I had this problem in LE 4 and unchecked the Auto Dissolve Format 0 and Import to Instrument Tracks in the preferences and that worked. It’s not working for me here. What else am I missing? I did find the run as Administrator check box and checked it.

I’m having this same issue. I just upgraded to CB5. I’m running XP3 and don’t have the Administrator check box in compatibility mode. What do I need to do? Thanks

Thanks for the response. I will mess around with that. I’m not used to manipulating midi files but I get the idea.
