TheEZ Drummer 3 Core Library is totally separate in the product manager – have you downloaded that?
714mb zip file. That uncompresses to 19gig??
That’s just the program itself. The library is what takes the space.

For the most part, yes it was
But that is a very real-life situation that could cost studio owners more than money.
Any studio owner that books a session to use a new product at 9am on the day it is launched needs to take a look at themselves.
Anyway – psst… downloading now – took about 7 or 8 mins. So far so good, servers.
Also updates for Superior Drummer 3.3.0 and the EZ Drummer 2 core library are up.

Thanked by: benjaminashlinYeah, this is enough to take my future business elsewhere. I have work to do, I can’t waste half a day waiting on something I have already paid for when I have clients expecting the “new drum sound” I promised would be coming TODAY. And I agree, no explanation, no communication, no mods on forums with updates and peace of mind… Really badly handled, guys.
Very funny!
(It was satire, right?)

Thanked by: MattSpeaking of meters, I asked this in PreSales, but the only thing I’m disappointed by with EZD3 is it looks like they didn’t offer any control over meter or swing in Tap2Find. You can change the meter in the global settings to force it, but I’ve never found a way to fix swing.
It’s a big limitation of such a brilliant feature – such a glaring omission and seemingly would be so easy to do as they have swing controls in tons of other places. Because it quantizes automatically, its not possible to bodge it.
EDIT – forgot you CAN turn off quantize – it’s messy, but if you then filter the results to just swing you can make a bit of a go at it. A proper swing control would be waaay better.

Scott, any comment on this?
Yup should be, that’s my path too. Just log in to the Toontrack website and you should be offered the upgrade price.
Huh, just stumbled on this. In fact it doesn’t live under the Update tab in EZD1 (at least not for me), it was hiding in EZD1 Downloads, under Extras.

Perfect! Thanks Victor – might be well worth adding this important info to the product page.
OK, thanks for the tips Damian – will be great if you folks can get some versions that work well from the Jazz EZX in the fullness of time. Cheers!
Got it thanks. Installed and sounds fabulous!
Should have its own thread I guess, but I notice the Jazz EZX midi doesn’t map correctly to Decades on stuff like swirls. Is there any way of mapping one to the other?
…or perhaps a more elegant method might be that the 2nd column is only triggered if the tabs in the first column reach the bottom of the window? Then it would be a genuinely need-based thing, and automatic.
Thanks again Henrik. I’d never knowingly triggered two property column boxes before at any size, but I could have just been co-incidence perhaps. And my MBP’s resolution is larger, so logical it might trigger the switch in a different place.
Perhaps the best solution here – I did read of one person who has all his tabs maximised and made use of two columns – would be to make it a manual preference. Perhaps the most logical place would be under the Show dropdown, a “restrict to single column” button perhaps under boxes?
Thanks John – it looks to me that the ratio at which the behaviour is triggered is different between Windows and Mac, and it’s a little too jumpy in Windows. It’s useful to have the midi mapping keys open, so that’s three columns of real estate that eat into the main drum window – this itself would be fine if the extra space that the box area takes up is of use, but it’s just a big grey space. Also it’s easier and quicker to find which tab you need if it isn’t moving about as you resize.
As it stands, the drum pane can get pretty cramped while the box area is literally a waste of space, eg this configuration is pretty ugly:

Yet making the window a fraction smaller makes the UI far easier to use:

Would you folks mind tweaking it in Windows to make just one column the norm for expanded 16:9 ratio monitors, and only trigger the two columns in more extreme circumstances?
Understood re Instrument view, and many thanks for your help.

I was too quick with my trigger fingers thereThe EZX:s aren’t all correctly tagged as you say. We are working on it, and updates will be released. I don’t know when though – but we are working on it!
Huge thanks Henrik!
