    Hi Scott,

Thanks for your reply. In the Articulation Menu, their are two headings under which articulations show up, “All Articulations” and “Not MIDI-mapped.” The crescendo articulation is listed under the heading “Not MIDI-mapped.” However, it has an active power button, I have turned it on and it is  not grayed out.  I can also trigger the crescendo by clicking on it in the Articulation Menu or by clicking on the cymbal in the drum kit itself.

When I go to the Grid Editor, the crescendo articulation is grayed out on the left and the grid area where I would normally write notes shows “Not MIDI-mapped.”

    Please see screen shots below.

    Thanks,

    Doug

Yes, sorry. I realized that after posting and went back and changed all of my “Song Types” to “Song Parts” in my original post above.

One other point, I now realize that the user can change the Song Part of a given groove, so I don’t think my last suggestion above, “Allow user to hide Song Part in the Song Track, so that incorrect Song Parts (those not matching the use in the current song) can be suppressed” is needed.

    Thanks.

    Hi John,

Thanks for the quick reply. “Select Containing Folder in Grooves” is helpful.

Also, thanks for letting me know about the Requests & Feedback thread. I will post my other thoughts there.

    1. I see how to rename a modified groove in the User MIDI library, but when I drag it to the Song Track, it shows only the Power Hand and the Generic Song Type (intro, verse, chorus, etc.) If I hover over it on the Song Track, it shows the name of the original groove that I used as my template before modifying, not the name of the modified groove as reflected in the User MIDI library. So when I look at the song in the Song Tracker, I have no information to tell me which custom grooves I used where, and I have to take copious side notes to keep track of the actual building blocks I have used. Am I missing something?
    2. On a related note, even when using unmodified grooves, the information in the Song Track leaves much to be desired. Again one sees only the Power Hand and Song Type. Neither of these is actually very useful. One can see the Name by hovering, but there may be several grooves with the same name in the library, e.g. “Chorus 2.” In my opinion, it would be much better to see both Family and the Name, and to see both all the time (without hovering) so that one could quickly know exactly which groove is being used. Or again am I missing some nuance here for how the interface should be used?

Thanks in advance for your thoughts.
