The chords are displayed on MIDI input into EZkeys. IOW, if you feed EZkeys MIDI from your host DAW track, it will be displayed.

Wait, what is this about feeding EZKeys MIDI from the host? Is it able to analyze it and change chords there, or what would be the purpose of that?

+1 on being able to enter chords and locking them in.

However, I would also like it to have the option to operate the way it currently does. The current behavior is great for the times when I don’t yet have a progression in mind, to hear the MIDI files as a starting point or for some inspiration. But once I have the progression determined, it is important to be able to lock them in if we need to audition further.

It would be perfect to choose which method we wanted to use, and when. This way you could either start off the way it is currently, get your progression sorted, then lock it in to audition other clips. Or, if you already know the progression you want to use, you can switch to the “lockdown’ mode straight away. I think this would be the best of both worlds.
