Maybe the new kits introduced in SD3 are so far, FAR superior to anything found on any EZX. And maybe the folks at toontrack would rather not even bother with any of those outdated and almost irrelevant kits from the past. I bought 1 EZX expansion (Pop Punk) and it is not even really usable next to instruments from SD3. But that is not a knock against EZX. I think it just shows how amazing SD3 is.
I just wanted to correct myself… I have been able to stack a kick from the Pop Punk along with a couple new kicks. So I am sure if I put in the effort I could get other EZX sounds to work. And I do not want to knock or belittle what might work for others.
I think I have read somewhere that the EZX packs sound better in EZ drummer vs SD3. But with all of the advancements in articulations, ambience and a ton of other things, I wouldn’t be shocked if all that EZX stuff isn’t even compatible with SD 4 and beyond. If it is still there in SD4, then that just shows how kind and considerate these guys at toontrack really are…
To the OP… If u don’t want people to try and reason with you and share their opinions on this.. Then maybe don’t try to debunk their opinions. Those other threads u mentioned aren’t getting the same reaction because they posted a suggestion and went on with their lives.. Whereas u stuck around grumbling and “stomping your feet.” … I’m not saying u are in the wrong for doing that. There are plenty of things I take issue with that others do not understand.. Just saying if u wanted this discussion to be over, you could have easily encouraged that to happen by not making further counter arguments and by not trying to over sell your points by discrediting every opinion that differs from your own.
Having said that…I DO think it was good of you to offer your opinion on this. If more people made the effort as u did. We would see massive improvements all over…
Cheers!
Hello. I have been having this same problem today. I chopped up a few hi hat grooves (no other drums), lined them next to eachother, then bounced. I then imported that hi hat and tried to change the tempo in midi mapper and it crashes every time.
After reading this thread I now know how to work around this.. But I wanted to bring it to your guys’ attention.
The problem occurs for SD3 in Pro tools 12 and in SD3 stand alone. I can share a crash report and the other file in just a bit…
THANKS!!

Thanked by: ChristofferIf changing the colors is such a simple addition then surely u can find some way to do it yourself. Maybe u can just design your own drum plugin which puts more emphasis on visuals and less on musical functionality. But seriously.. I understand your wishing for the better graphics. But they already make a product that provides what you want. If u were content using that product then why did u stop using it.
