The overheads always pick up all of the cymbals; that’s what they do, and the bleed has nothing to do with it.

Thanked by: JohnI’m new to EZDrummer3 and am using it in stand...I’m new to EZDrummer3 and am using it in stand alone mode with a USB midi keyboard to start creating tracks. This is on a Mac Studio with an M1 chip and running Sonoma. The keyboard is a Nectar SE 25 connected via USB. The keyboard can trigger the drums, but the latency is so bad that programming a drum track is impossible. Per the discussions on this forum, a direct connection versus using EZDrummer as a DAW instrument should achieve the lowest latency. The keyboard is recognized in the Mac’s Audio MIDI utility. Is there something I am missing or should I just go through the DAW?

I get latency in my DAW. The only way I know of beating it is to mute the channel.
I’ve not been paying attention to the Toontrack sales. I...I’ve not been paying attention to the Toontrack sales.
I have EZD2 and wondering if upgrade to EZD3 is scheduled to go on sale? (Or have I missed the party?)

The grooves for both earlier builds are in two expansion packs. You get the drum kits with them.

How are you doing that? No matter what I do it just goes left right left right. And I now see why that is, I think. In the MIDI map I can see that kick 1 and kick 2 are both set to “left” but I don’t see anywhere that I can change one of them to “right.”
My mistake. Set events to kick 2 kick 2 / kick 1 kick 1 / kick 2 kick 2 / kick 1 kick 1. Do it as fourths or eighths with one drum tuned up or down, and it’s quite something.
I’ve put in midi events as kick 1 kick 2, and got it to play left left right right
I’d welcome Kick 1 triggering one and Kick 2 triggering the other, but I’m learning to live with it as it is.
The only way to stop the alternating kicks is to switch off the multiple samples, which will make fast rolls sound like a machine gun.
The different tones in the two kicks is down to them two drums of different sizes.
You can switch off one of the kicks, by right-clicking it and choosing ‘None’.

Are you seeing an empty room? An EXP has only one graphic, which is shown for all of its kits. There’s nothing odd about seeing only the Amber Kit. An exception is the Modern/Vintage EXP. This has one graphic for Modern and one for Vintage.
There’s a new Salsa drum midi pack https://www.toontrack.com/product/salsa-grooves/ Listen to the audio preview to see if the grooves are what you want.
