I have Ezdrummer 3 + the snares and kicks extension, so… I do have the option to switch to an snare-off snare..But; how can i switch while playing live? I’ve allocated all of my toms and crashes, so ik have no midi allocations left…
Awesome, Thx. But when i’m playing is there an option to switch fast? Or do i have to save 2 identical setups and switch while playing?
also; it might be that your monitor is mono, while the sounds that are being produced are in stereo. Had that same problem on mij DB monitor too,
The last comment, i used the default library from ezd3, and noticed the difference
yeah, i just bought this upgrade, because i’m satisfied with EZD-2, i’m not going to purchase SD-3..
And can you change the velocity on the rimshot itself, in EZD-3 i can change the velocity for the snare, but not the rim on it’s own.. Should that be a possibility?
The thing is, i didn’t change anything to the settings, but the rimshot and crashes just seems so low in volume. I just reinstalled ezdrummer 2 with the original midi library and the rimshot is ok again when i strike it. So it has to be something to do with the upgrade.

Same problems, since yesterday. Didn’t update the program, it was working fine, till yesterday… Tried reinstalling the app. Without the update it keeps working, as soon as i installan an update (tot 2.2.3) it crashes.
Also tried the above steps , so i deleted the folder and files, but it didn’t work.
if i completely reinstall Ezdrummer, but not the updates, it keeps working. I do normally attach an UMC audio interface to ezdrummer, but that is not what i’m doing now. It moakes no difference if i do, btw.
I had the same thing with my roland td4k, try installing the aiso4all codec and use that as your primary handler.
I get what you’re saying. But i managed to fix it.
My td4k module is able to reroute midi numbers. So i disabled the xstick. This way, i know i always hear a rimshot and never a sidestick sound. So, now i have changed the midi note for the rimshot to the midi note for a sidestick. That worked!
Thank you for your answers. But i did always work, that’s why i don’t think SD2 is necessary. But i will try and look at the settings. When i have an solution i will report it here.
Hi John,
yes, we are talking about that one. The thing is, i’ve downloaded the manual for the td4k and looked at velocity, rim gain and rim adjust. The problem is that, when i set my rim gain too high, the sound also changes from the sidestick to the rimshot sound.
Can i set the rimshot note to the sidestick note when it comes in ezdrummer 2? Because i can see the different notes coming in when playing..
Btw: when i turn of xstick volume in my Roland td4k , then the rimshot sound always plays. When i set my xstick to the highest level (3) it plays the sidetalk sound 🙂
