OK, you do not wish to be able to place a note off-grid (which is easy with ‘Snap’ off), you want the info of the exact location (Bars/Beats/Ticks) of a selected hit, whether or not on the Grid?

If so, that is not a feature in SD3 but in most DAWs, as you point out. You can always make a request for such a feature in the ‘Requests & Feedback’ section.

    Hi Andy,

the Grid Editor has Grid steps from 1/1 down to 1/64 with triplets in between. The Default is that the Grid resolution adjusts to Zoom level, which means you get a finer Grid resolution the more you Zoom in. This can be turned off, if you prefer. You can also toggle the Snap off (keyboard shortcut: ‘G’) to place notes in between Grid lines.

I get the same results as Brad, I’m afraid, i.e. no unexpected behaviour.
I am wondering if the directory where the Temp files are created upon dragging has got something to do with it.
What does your ‘C:\ProgramData\Toontrack\EZkeys 2’ folder look like? Full of those dragged files?

s an aside though the bass part I was struggling with was an EZK2 part that I used – somehow I imported it into EZB … maybe I just drag and dropped it, I can’t remember now but that sustain and damping information must have come from EZK as I certainly didn’t put it in there. Would you expect that to happen?

Yes, as Brad is suggesting: if you drag MIDI directly from the EZkeys 2 Song Track or Grooves to te EZbass Song Track, it will include the Sustain data if present. If you drag MIDI with Sustain data to the EZbass Drums & Keys page, it will not be included when exported to the Song Track. If you just drag the Chords from the EZkeys 2 Song Track to the EZbass Song Track, it will not include Sustain data, since then it’s just the Chords.

    Hi Paul,

I’m here with Studio One 6.1.2 trying to reproduce what you are talking about but I’m afraid I can’t, so could you please elaborate?

Whether I’m dragging MIDI from the Grooves page or from the Song Track, I do not get more than one Track in Studio One. I am dragging from the VST3 plug-in to the EZkeys 2 Track in Studio One.

Which Auto-Save are you referring to? Is it the ‘Auto-Save in DAWs’ in EZkeys 2 Settings > Auto-Save function?

In EZKeys1 it was simple to delete old grooves.  I cannot find where the EZKeys2 grooves are from the EZKeys2 interface.

Could you explain a bit further, please? Where in EZkeys 2 are you trying to find and delete ‘old grooves’?

    Hi Shootie,
I think it’s because there’s a chord mismatch (marked with an asterisk) right before the chord you are changing via the wheel. If you right-click the asterisk and ‘Correct to suggested chord’, then change the next chord, the bass notes before it shouldn’t jump up. I think the EZbass AI is behaving like it is taught here but I will have to check with my colleagues.

    Hi,

if you have notes selected, the window stays with the selected notes. De-select them and the Auto Scroll works as expected. I think the idea is that a if you have notes selected, it is because you want to edit them and don’t want the window to scroll past them.
