Hi, could you please zip archive the project before attaching it? The regular .ezd3p file can’t be uploaded.

Please state the exact combo of Preset and Snare you are using or better yet, zip archive a project showcasing this and attach to a post here.

Hi,
it depends on which preset you are using but from what I can see, the noise is about -70dB within the 2 second tail and wouldn’t think that’s strange. It also depends if you are isolating a hit like this and apply further dyn/eq processing after or if you are hearing noise in context.

Hi, if you get the error that TT solo can’t find any drummers
please go to Options > Set Paths and set the path to your VST plug-in. I’m assuming you are running TT solo 64-bit and want to launch the 64-bit EZdrummer. This path would normally be ‘C:\Program Files\VstPlugins\Toontrack’
After that TT solo should find EZdrummer and be able to launch.

Hi,
can you please try go to System Preferences > Displays > Color and select “sRGB IEC61966-2.1.” Does that make any difference?
Are there a lot of (latency inducing) plug-ins in the Audio path?

John

Thanked by: baranoidHi,
the application and plug-in files need to reside on your system drive but the large sound files (and the MIDI) can reside on your D:\ drive.
You are aware that the software and the Core library are separate installers?
If you are low on drive space on your C:\ drive, you can change the ‘Downloads’ location in the Toontrack Product Manager Preferences to somewhere else. Just don’t set the download location in the same path as you install something e.g. the EZdrummer 3 Core Library.
If you already have the Core Library installed, you can check this FAQ out:
https://www.toontrack.com/faq/how-do-i-move-the-sounds-for-ezdrummer-2/
It refers to EZdrummer 2 but the principle is the same.

Again, this is not true.
According to the programmer, it is.
The request to be able to update/install multiple products in one go has been noted earlier but I have no further info.

Hi,
the installers in the downloaded packages are not used if you are installing through the Toontrack Product Manager, instead the PM uses the latest installer version.

I was asking if midi settings could be saved universally.
Hi,
that is what happens when you save your own MIDI In Preset on the MIDI In/E-drums settings page and it is Active. If you switch to another Preset, it should still be Active.
If you change Velocity Curves and MIDI Mapping settings in the property boxes on the DRUMS page, they will be wiped upon loading another preset.

Thanked by: drumjack52I turned the “mix” knob all the way to the right. Should I lower the volume of the imported drum audio instead or would the mix knob suffice?
When auditioning on the Tracker page, turning the Mix knob on a track all the way to the right, lets you hear the SD3 sound only.

Hi Kari,
you are aware that Future Hit Instruments do not work or respond the way regular Instruments do? I.e. you cannot program them as you would a non-Future Hit Instrument.
From the Manual:
Future Hit Instrument applies to an instrument that Toontrack has sampled in a special way because they produce sound before their accent. An example of this would be a shaker, maraca, or a shaken tambourine. This type of instrument is also known as an “indirectly struck idiophone” in musical terms. They have been delineated as such because MIDI programming for these instruments is different (i.e. it is performed in Edit Play Style or in the Grid Editor).

Thanked by: Scott Eshleman…a bit late but if someone is searching for this particular info; I have attached a screen shot of where I have first saved Octobans and Rototoms from the Hansa SDX as User Instruments and then added them as new Instruments in the Death SDX DenTex Preset. I have set the added Instruments to the suggested MIDI notes and if I had a Monster E-kit, I would have to make sure the module is set up to send these notes or re-map in a MIDI Preset on the MIDI In/E-drums page.

Hi,
not a setting per se but you can select all instruments that you wish to set to ‘unlimited’ and then do your adjustments to all in one go.
If you save as Default project, it will be included in the Default recall. If you switch out instruments, the Voice and layers settings will still be active, however switching Presets and/or Libraries will recall what was stored in the preset loaded.
If you wish to quickly select all instruments to remove layer limits, just start with selecting the Kick in the Instrument selection drop-down and then shift+click the last instrument in the list. Then just drag down to ‘-‘ in the Voice and Layer property box. Should take about 5 seconds.
