OK and where exactly in the process do you get this error message? Would it be possible to provide screen capture?

    Hi,

the EZD3 Core library installer should indeed let you Customise the location for the Sound Library and MIDI repository.

If they are already installed, you can follow this FAQ to permanently move this location:

    Hi,

please use the Product Manager Application, not the web interface.

    Hi,

I just tried to install 1.4.0 on my Windows 11 test bed and it worked; I am listening to Grooves from the EZdrummer browser as I write this.

IOW, it *should* work. hat said, upgrading to EZdrummer 3 would be huge step up from version 1.

    Hi,

are you using the Product Manager Application to download and install?

EZmix 3 does not have any sound library so the external sound library drive wouldn’t matter in this case.

    Hi Clean Reals,

the OP marked Henrik’s reply as ‘Best Answer’, I didn’t.
What does the current ‘Lowest available Note’ function not provide for you? Please elaborate.

    Hi,

which DAW are you using? Is this happening in one particular project or all? Would it be possible for you to zip such a project and attach to a post here (without any audio files)?

    Hi Brad,

as has been mentioned several times in this thread; the “issue” is about understanding that having plug-ins that induce latency in the same Session/Project may affect something like the visual feedback in a plug-in like SD3 but not exclusively Toontrack plug-ins. If I see this happening in e.g. SD3, I see this in other plug-ins in the same Session/Project.

If I am bothered about it, I disable/de-activate latency inducing plug-ins while working with the MIDI in SD3, then enable/activate them again when done.

Should you however experience this in a Session/Project where there are no other plug-ins, then please reply with specs on your environment; computer, OS, DAW, version, etc. along with a saved Session/Project where this happens.

    John

    Hi,

as Jack suggests, it will be much easier for you to download/install/authorise with the Product Manager application, so please download and install it.
    https://www.toontrack.com/product-manager/

If a library is installed that isn’t authorised, you will be presented with the login window in SD3 when you try to load it. Duality is an EZX.
You should see which ones in the Product Manager.

To properly uninstall products you do not have licenses for, you will have to download the installer packages for them, then run the Uninstaller from the Product Manager.
Alternatively, you can delete the contents of C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Toontrack\EZDrummer and then re-install any EZdrummer EZX and Toontrack MIDI you do have licenses for. This may still leave references to products you do not have licenses for but *shouldn’t* pose any problems.

I’ve been trying to use the grid editor but some notes like edge, off center, rim only, flam and closed roll are not midi map how do I activate it so that I can use those notes on the grid editor?

    Hi Michael,

which preset are you starting from? It seems a bit strange that all of those are not mapped. If you have started by loading articulations not included in the preset you’re starting from, it’s not strange that they are unmapped. I would simply open the MIDI Mapping Property Box on the DRUMS page and with the articulation in question selected, click on the small “hamburger” menu to the right of the articulation name and ‘Add suggested note’.Screenshot-2024-12-08-at-22.39.08

    Hi,

I have no problem running EZD3 in LUNA here but I’m on Sonoma.
You could try to delete the AU cache and the LUNA preferences if your ‘EZdrummer 3.component’ is in the /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/ folder and it isn’t showing up.

To Delete the AU cache, please close all applications and delete:

    Folder: /Users/yourname/Library/Caches//AudioUnitCache/
    File: com.apple.audiounits.cache

Please know that the User library folder is hidden on Mac OSX 10.7 and above. To access the user library folder on 10.7 and above click (from the finder menu at the top of the screen) Go > Go To folder > Then type in: ~/Library

To reset preferences from LUNA, delete the files below from ~/Library .
    Folder: ~/Library/Application Support/Universal Audio/workspace/plugin_cache/
    File: AUPlug-Ins.json
    Folder: ~/Library/Preferences/
    File: com.uaudio.luna.plist
    Folder: ~/Library/Preferences/Universal Audio/
    File: LUNAprefs.json

After you have deleted files above, please reboot your Mac before launching LUNA again.

    John
