Each amp preset is an in itself closed separate signal chain. There is no using parts of this in that and the other way around. Not as far as I know 😉
If you like to tweak a lot then EZmix might not be the perfect solution for you. I think the concept is to provide you with genre typical sounds that are suitable or usable as they are – at least almost 😉 EZ easy because instantly usable… You might consider purchasing a plugin that offers several types of amps and dedicated guitar pedal boards / effects?

joeThe dedicated Custom Shop EZX has brushed swirl grooves straight and swing 4/4.
If you active Show Web Shop MIDI and set a Play Style filter “Swirls” you are shown five libraries: Decades, EZX Big Band, EZX Custom Shop, EZX Jazz and EZX Vintage Rock.
There are also swirls within the Legacy of Rock library. Just chose the Play Style filter “Brushes” to check them out!

If you really have absolutely no sense of drumming then try to find suitable drum MIDI by searching the genre related patterns and use the Show Web Browser MIDI option to increase the number of possible suggestions according to your search.
Either you know what you want and you benefit from the Tap-2-Find feature, or you are willing to spend time on clicking through tons of MIDI patterns.

joeI don’t think that there is much MIDI explicitly fitting surf music. You should probably use the Tap2Find feature and activate “Show Web Shop MIDI”! Since surf music is sixties you could look for fifties and sixties drum EZX and MIDI. But I really don’t think that you will find much MIDI especially for surf music.
A little off topic: I own nearly 40 EZmix preset packs but if I search for the word “surf” there is not even one single result 😉
