Any update from Toontrack on this?
Yes, this is something we definitely want to implement/improve.
And here we go… 26 MIDI packs have to be updated. I’m too tired to do the math to figure out how many mouse clicks that is. And besides, my clicking finger will be in rehab.
This is ridiculous!!!

Thanked by: versuswhatI’m waiting for a fix too. Just sent out a mix of a project for review and it had no drums! I don’t always listen to an exported file if I’m in a rush.
Seems like everyone else is on windows in this thread. I’m on Mac, but the common denominator seems to be Cubase 12?
Any progress on this? Got my new Mac Studio and it’s taking FOREVER to do all the installs. Then to add insult to injury, products with fresh downloads need updates immediately after installation. And the update is a two or three part installation!! Seems like there is no good reason to have the MIDI update as a separate installer from a sound installer update, etc.
Guess I will have everything installed by the end of the week. Software is great, but this is a terribly annoying process.
Is anyone actually working on this?
I have 122 registered products including expansion kits and midi packs. For my new laptop the installation method has made this an enormous task!! No way I would do this in one sitting, so I have actually spread it out over weeks, doing a few at a time because WHO HAS TIME FOR THIS?!?!? Writing this reply as my Arturia, Waves, Native Instruments, and Softube software updates in the background without any further input. Plug-in Alliance does ONE download and ONE install. This is more important to me now than new sounds, instruments, or MIDI packs.
I would like to see this go beyond the above response:

Thanked by: Rolf Maier-Bode, David Case and Joachim WrbaAgree. Just got a new laptop and have to install multiple libraries and countless updates. Too many clicks and passwords to count.
Love the software, but the installation and update process sucks. Take a cue from Softube, Native Instruments, Arturia, and others. Simply “update all” and the magic happens without user intervention. You have so many products now that I think this is a necessity!

Thanked by: Rolf Maier-BodeThanks. Now that you mention it I’m pretty sure I did an undo just prior to the crash.
I have already completed a replacement track, and have EZ-Bass doing an automatic project save every minute.
Really appreciate the support. I started using ToonTrack products in 2003 with DFH. Superior 3, EZ-Drummer, EZ-Keys, and now EZ-Bass are part of my go-to arsenal.

Thanked by: MattiasEksOddly the support submission generated an error that the file-type was not compliant (Crash report file). Not sure if the ticket got submitted or if the .zip of the project was uploaded as I didn’t get a confirmation.
Hi Mattias,
I was editing chord transitions I think when the crash happened. It was only after this unfortunately that I started using the save feature in EZBass and turned on autosave so I won’t lose future work. I’m still working on the project so there will be an .ezbp file if it crashes again. I can upload a .ZIP of the Cubase file to tech support today, but am wondering if I should upload the crashed version that crashes on opening, or a working version? When I create the support ticket, should I also include the Mac crash log files?
Thanks!
