It is cool to play cinematic stuff! We can’t unfortunately comment on future releases 🙂I hope it got a bit clearer for you, reply if you have further questions! Â
Thanks Henrik – I’ll try to get to grips with “parts”.
I was trying to work with presets with the SD3 kits to set up my own mixer template – what I wanted was to have a common multi-out/multitimbral mixer set up that is easy for me to recall in Logic and with any SD3 kit – I realise then that working with parts is key to this. It’s not quite clear if I can do this – and if I won’t be able to this with legacy SDXs but great info all the same.
I don’t think you got the point about the save dialogue. As a user, you expect a save dialogue to have have some dialogue! e.g. overwrite duplicate, choose sub folder etc… the preset save dialogue doesn’t seem to be normal/expected… seems unfinished to me…
Yes.
Please give us the manual as a PDF.
(I own 21 Toontrack products, this is the most complex. I have to have PDF manuals to read them on the bus, phone, bed, iPad etc. We are big and clever enough to get the new manual when you update the software.)
You are really fix something that is not broken here.10

Thanked by: Bob PrezkutaI also own SD2/EZ2 a lot of EZx and SDx expansions. Let’s remember that SD3 is massive, really massive. And SD2 was never presented as having the same song building and midi features as EZ2. So, don’t feel disappointed. But, as in the other thread, I hope TT consider giving SD2/EZ2 owners an extra incentive to get SD3.
Love TT, love the online account system, love the EZx and SDx approach, love the look of SD3… hope the launch goes well. Maybe a cinematic perc SDx one day!

i humbly agree. i’m seeing a $199 upgrade price from SD2 which i own and $299 upgrade from EZD2 which i also already own???!!!! $200 is a lot to pay for resizable windows and improved midi functionality!!!! which i might add i already had in EZD2 for a couple of years now.honestly the tons of other features of SD3 are not interesting to me (other than the two i listed above) at all and it feels to me like TT has lumped all this together to squeeze more cash from me when i’ve already essentially bought two programs from them that do these things separately. from my perspective, SD3 really puts to death SD2 and EZD2 as it marries both.
i think what i’m saying is there should be a *significantly* lower third upgrade price for users that own BOTH EZD2 AND SD2 not just one or the other! i feel like i’m getting squeezed at $199 for the SD2 upgrade! Â
I think that the SD2 upgrade price is already pretty sensible given the massive size and features of SD3. I don’t think it is realistic to expect TT to more than halve the price – as they must have considered this prior to launch – so a €139/USD149 upgrade price for SD2/EZ2 owners would seem about right. For me that would move SD3 from the category of “wait for Time & Space offer to knock some € down from €179” to “instabuy!!!! at €139”. That seems fair. But I trust the TT people to come up with something.
+1 here too
I have been giving electronic a right bending and it is a serious pain to quickly audition sounds.
I came here to actually ask to be able to map any sound to any pad – I want a load of snare variations on screen. But let’s start with quick audition arrows – like e.g. ESX
I have downloaded and tried add the hyper sets settings as instructed but I get the error “Logic Pro: Plug-in “Superior D” not available!”
Are these hyper sets settings you have put in the download area for EZ Drummer – or for Superior?
(OSX10.4.11, Logic 8.0.2, EZ Drummer 1.1.1)
