The ability to mute notes in the Grid Editor was added in Superior Drummer version 3.3.0 in case you missed it!
Great! Thank you!
Hi There, has this been implemented yet? Started editing on grid editor..the best for drums I’ve seen, but.. reeeeally need that mute feature 🙂 many thanks
It hasn’t. Can I suggest you file a support ticket to request it?
PL
That’s what this section of the forum (ie. Requests and Feedback) is for.

Nope.
+1 and +1 both to add notes and to mute notes in the grid editor
Â
You can add notes, you just can’t mute them.
It’s not a problem, per se. If there’s enough people that want a feature, then it’s worth implementing. However, if only one or two people want it then I’d rather the developers spend their time working on features that are in greater demand.
What’s the point of visual feedback compared to simply listening to a track in order to determine if it’s appropriate for a song? I can think of a few examples of beats that contained complex fills that I didn’t like but that also contained beats I ended up using; I simply deleted the fill. Had I skipped the groove altogether because I could visually see that it contained a complex fill, I would’ve missed out on a very usable beat.
The only time visual feedback is useful for me is when modifying a beat.

OK,please let us know if you can find some way to reproduce.

It would be great if I knew the sequence of events that caused the issue to occur, however I have no idea. It seems to occur randomly. The description of this sub forum is “get your product issue resolved”, and that’s all I’m trying to do.

When pre-listening grooves at the Grooves Tab there is no visual feedback. It would be fantastic if there were a window with a Grid view. Â
You can always drag the groove you’re listening to into the Song Track window and double click it to bring up the Grid Editor.

Is this for the entire Stack or a Stack Member?
You can still click On/Off for the Tuning Module. right?BR,
John Â
Hi John,
It affects both, Stack Members and the entire Stack. If I recall, the Tuning Module could still be turned off(though whether the Tuning actually reverts to its default state, I can’t recall). Despite my best efforts to produce the phenomena at will, I haven’t been able to determine the sequence of events necessary to reproduce it. It’s exceedingly intermittent.

Can’t you do all that you’re suggesting in SD3’s Grid Editor? Â
You can mute a ‘song block’ but unlike the selection and pencil tools, there’s no dedicated mute tool nor the ability to right click a selection of individual notes and mute them.

Hi,
you should be able to now.

Hi John,
Would you mind checking the status of my accessibility, as well? I contacted support a few days ago but haven’t been granted access yet.
