Each CC and MIDI note can only be assigned to one instrument/articulation. Can you achieve what you want if you stack the regular hi-hat’s open and closed articulations with the extra hi-hats corresponding articulations?

Was the newly created channels hidden – so you had to click “Edit Visibility” to see them?
In that case it may be a bug, because newly created channels should be visible by default.

Or was the “User Mics” button disabled (so no added channels for instruments was shown) and you pressed that?

I’ll take a note of this as a feature request.
Can you give some examples of how you would use this feature? It will help us make better design choices if we know what the customers are trying to achieve…
    Thanks for the feedback!

I don’t know if that exists, but you can do a custom MIDI mapping in SD3, that matches the articulations of Logic Pro X Drummer…

What version of Superior Drummer are you using?
Have you checked the manual for how the instruments microphones and mixer channels work?

You can move all the SDX:s and the EZdrummer folder (in which the EZX:s are located) to an external drive.
When you get the new computer, plug in that drive and start SD3 and set the path in SD3 Settings.

Can you clarify what you mean here?
If I select the snare in grid editor, it’s notes will get selected both in Edit Play Style and in the Grid Editor.
The difference is that Edit Play Style operates on the entire instrument (all articulations), and in the grid editor is it possible to only change a certain articulation….

When you add an instrument in SD3, you have the choice to add it’s close microphones to either an existing mixer channel, or create a new mixer channel.
So if you have loaded a kit in SD3, and you add a new snare, you get the choice to route its close microphones (often snare top mic and snare bottom mic) to:
    – The existing Snare Top and Snare Bottom channels in the mixer
    or
    – To new mixer channels.

They both have advantages and disadvantages, and the default is that SD3 will create new mixer channels.

You can have full control over where the microphones are connected to the mixer if you check Route Instrument Microphones (right click the instrument and select More menu).

Does this clear things up for you?

I have a bunch of kit presets, combined presets, etc. from SD2 for Allaire, Avatar and Metal Foundry.

However, when I load ANY of these Libraries, the S2 submenus do not appear

Are you using the latest SD3 version (3.1.2)?

In order to add midi to the grid editor do you have to start by selecting a groove and editing it or is there a way to start without doing so?

Yeah, you need a groove to edit. The easiest way is to right click on an empty area on the song track, select Add Empty Block, and the double click it.

The FX real-time slider is meant to be controlled with a hardware knob, or with a macro. If you want a pitch shift that stays, you should use the Tuning box! It’s more powerful since you can Process the tuned drum, to make it higher quality and make tom tuning sound more natural.

Even though we we don’t comment all requests, and when we do we don’t say anything about the future, we are still glad to see requests from our customers, and we read all posts – so keep them coming! 🙂

As I mentioned in my original post, I can still use SD3 whilst message appears, but have never seen this message before.

ah, I think Monday laziness struck me when I didn’t thoroughly read the first post 😀
