I finally did figure out. But what an obscure PITA method of having to do this.
Would it kill Toontrack to put a simple line or two of text somewhere on that giant empty Libraries tab – on just how to change this path?

I will take a note of this request! Thanks for the feedback.

In what way do you mean “cut up songs”?
You can have a song divided in different Grooves on the track (say one block that’s a verse, and another that’s a Chorus). If you select both of those blocks and drag to User MIDI (in Grooves in SD3, in Browser in EZd2), you can later drag that User MIDI Groove down to the track, and it will be kept as 2 blocks.

EZdrummer 2 doesn’t have a piano roll. It’s bigger brother, Superior Drummer 3, has a grid editor (“piano roll”, but adjusted for drum writing), amongst many other added features.

Thanked by: adressebidon91206I’m having the same issue.
If I load Shaker 1 from the library Superior Drummer 3 – Preset Sounds via “Add Instrument”, the hit articulation for that shaker gets MIDI note 117. This depends on what MIDI notes that are available when adding the instrument, but it should be given a note.
If you go to the MIDI Mapping property box and click the small menu button on the Hit articulation, there’s a menu entry called Add Suggested Note. This will assign a note to the articulation.
You can also manually enter a MIDI note, but the automatic function mentioned above makes sure that you don’t take any primary note that’s being used for some other instrument.

I want to keep mono drums to mono channels so I can process them using mono processing tools like EQ, compression, reverb, etc.
What DAW are you using?

If you try to change the buffer size, or the audio interface (if you have an external audio interface) in Logic, does it work?

A workaround for this issue until the update is released is to either:

Thanked by: onewayout_1Can I still change my MIDI stuff inside the DAWs MIDI-Editor (Piano Roll of Logic) the way I did it with SD2? Or do I have to use the new inbuilt Editor of the SD3?
SD3 works exactly the same as SD2 in this regard; external MIDI can be played, for example from a DAW. So you can edit the MIDI in the DAW, and SD3 will play it back.

Thanked by: bogdan_4If you see my third point in the list, I wrote “Saved as a User Preset”. In my scenario, I saved a User Preset in the Drums & Mixer preset menu (on the top right side of SD3). Did you save this kind of preset, or did you save a Project (from the File menu)?
We tried this in Reaper, and when we save and load a (Drums & Mixer) User Preset it works as intended. However, if we save and load a Project, the bug appears as you described.

I’ll ask a coder to check this in Reaper! Thanks for the report.

Just to make sure – are you using the latest version of SD3 – v 3.1.2?

I tried the following in Logic:
Is this scenario similar to how you did it?

You should definitely be able to drag the MIDI from EZdrummer 2 to Studio One. You can drag it from the song track, or straight from the Search, or Browser, in EZdrummer 2.
Does Studio One crash as soon as you drag in the MIDI to it? Can you check if there are any available updates for Studio One, since this sounds like a bug in Studio One.

There is no area designed for showing all the current instruments, since the scenario you describe is (probably) pretty uncommon.
You could write the instruments on a text file and place somewhere on the screenshot?
