What DAW are you using? Different DAWs handles empty midi regions differently. When I try this in Logic, it automatically cuts away empty bars in the beginning and in the end of the MIDI file. If I drag the same MIDI file to the song track of SD3, the silence in the beginning will be kept but the silence in the end is removed.

It looks like an EZkeys bug.

Can you start by checking if EZkeys needs to be updated?

Is there a way to remove them so EZD doesn’t think they are still there ?

EZdrummer 2 needs to sync the changes you have done in the added folders.

Go to Menu/Settings/MIDI Libraries. Right click on the folder(s) you have made changes to, and select Sync File Changes

Since we are in development of this product we can’t yet say any more than we have on the Toontrack EZbass page, where the release is revealed. If we promise to have something implemented, but in the end can’t be implemented (which can happen because of many, many reasons) – our customers will be disappointed, and that’s something we don’t want!

We’ll do our best get a functionality that will fulfill our users’ needs, so all feature requests and comments are welcome, and your requests are noted!

Having to export SD3 midi tracks from DAW (Logic X in my case) and import them back into SD3 to make a song track AND then export

To bounce audio in SD2 requires as much job as bouncing audio in SD3. The difference is:

    • in SD2, you record the MIDI in the Bounce area, and then you bounce it
    • In SD3, you record the MIDI to the song track, then you bounce it.
      • You can record enable a song track in SD3, have Follow Host enabled, and press play in Logic to get it to the song track

The Hi-hat bug is something we can look at. Can you post the MIDI file here?

In some presets, some instruments are disabled in the mixer channels, e.g. they can’t produce any sound.

Go to Mixer tab, click channel OH Cond, and on the right Bleed from Instruments tab, enable Cymbal 3. Enable Cymbal 3 in all channels you want it to sound from.

Notice that there are also channels hidden, which you can see if you click Edit Visibility

Thank you Scott, I got it now.  Would be nice if you can search within the specific forum – e.g. Superior as a sub search.  Just fyi – maybe a good feature if doable.

    Good idea 🙂

Is the update for this issue coming soon in the future or should I reprogram the drums straight to SD?

Are you running SD3 v 3.1.2, the latest version?

Can you upload a MIDI file that causes the crash?

We designed Linked Folders to do what you guys seem to want – you select a folder and link it, instead of having to manually move and change the order of the Toontrack MIDI folders on disk.

What are the downsides of the implementation of Linked Folders, since you don’t seem to use it? If we can find out why, we can make it better for you…
