We have fixed a bug where the Similar MIDI detection was triggered even without MIDI on the track in the DAW. It will be included in the next update.

I got the same problem in studio one. It will not crash direct but if you toggle it on and off some times it chrashes. It got the latest update.

    Tar det på svenska också.

Har samma problem i studio one. Den crashar inte direkt men om jag håller på och lägger på legato och tar bort det flera gånger under samma session så kan den crasha. Jag har senaste uppdateringen.

Can you find an exact way to reproduce a crash? And if can you attach a crash dump it would help us investigate the bug.

Is 1.0.4 out? Do you all keep your music computers constantly online? Do you open the Manager everyday?

I wish Toontrack & others would send notifications of updates via email.

1.0.4 is out! Currently you should check the forum, or check the Product Manager once in a while to see new updates. We will see if we can announce future updates for our users in some way! Thanks for the input.

Even when the midi was deleted from the bass track in Cubase the issue was still occurring on just those two notes. See if you can get this link to work and you can have a play around  in Cubase and hopefully the same thing happens so it will show what I mean!

I get the same issue you are describing when I use your project, so we will investigate why this issue occurs. Thanks for the info!

I’ve tried to upload just the bass track, but it is still too big. I can send a WeTransfer if that helps?

EDIT: Here is a more specific screenshot…

    Will make a WeTransfer now.

If I understand the screenshot correctly, then it indicates that you have MIDI both in EZbass and in Cubase, which is what the automatic disabling of Follow Host function is there for to prevent.

If you have MIDI in both the EZbass Song Track and on the Cubase track – the EZbass audio engine will receive and play the same notes from two sources simultaneously – which can lead to strange audio artefacts.

So – you should decide where you want to have your MIDI – either in EZbass or in Cubase – but not in both.

Can you post a screenshot (or screen capture movie) of EZbass and the Cubase track in the situation where this happens? Or post a Cubase project where this happens? This project will only need to have an EZbass track, so it doesn’t get so big…

What DAW, and version of it, are you using?

Sorry for the delay in answer here!

How do all these work with ezbass?

EZkeys and EZdrummer 2 (and also Superior Drummer 3) will all work well with EZbass. You can drag MIDI from EZkeys or EZdrummer 2 in to EZbass and it will generate bass lines that matches the drums/keys MIDI files.

You can also play the bass line you want on a guitar or bass, and EZbass can track it and make a MIDI bass line of it.

Other question i have; Is there a movie that shows how to get all the tracks i have, put together from the different programs together into one song?

I’m not sure what you mean here – but if you load all plug-ins in Mixcraft, they will all sync their time lines (as long as you enable Follow Host in each of the Toontrack products)

And; Are this program also god for the country music?

    Short answer; yes 🙂

EZbass goes down to low A. To get it further, you would have to pitch the bass using a pitch shift software in your DAW.

I’m having the same issue within Logic Pro X.  I cannot drag and drop midi or audio files.

Reply To: Unable to Drag and Drop Midi Events Directly from Studio One into ezBass version: 1.0.4
    Operating system: macOS Mojave (10.14)

This is because Logic doesn’t support drag and drop from Logic to other places (such as to EZbass), and there’s nothing we can do about it unfortunately.

But you can drag and drop MIDI straight from EZdrummer2, Superior Drummer 2 & 3, and EZkeys.

If you want to get audio from Logic to EZbass (for tracking), you can use the Audio Sender plugin – which is included when buying EZbass.

Yeah, this is a bug – damping should only change the damping 🙂

Otherwise you can also zip and upload your project file (.ezbp) to see if it is corrupt.

This is a good tip; if something strange happens (like notes disappearing when increasing Damping), undo and try again. If the bug is still there, undo again and save the EZBass project and upload it to the forum, so we can have a look at what’s going on!

It’s equally useful if you can reproduce the bug, and tell us the steps needed to make it appear.

I’ll check with the coders and we’ll see if we can figure out what’s causing this. Thanks for the report.
