You can’t split up the installation by kits, but you can have 2 installations: one full (all 5 library parts) on an external disk, and have a small on the internal disk (part 1 and 2 for example). When the external disk is plugged in SD3 will use that, and when it’s not plugged in, the smaller locally installed library will be used.

The headers of each library says what it contains, Superior Drummer 3 Library Part 4 – Height Surround for example.

I HAVE already applied Multiple Outputs and I see those now in the Mixer Section in Cubase 10

I haven’t tried this, but can you route the output from those channels to regular audio tracks and record arm those?

The DAW that I know of that does this best is Ableton Live. It has different modes, where one is a live mode where you can change patterns using a MIDI controller. Check that out!

You should use the Product Manager to handle all Toontrack software.

Is polyphonic aftertouch required – I never saw a keyboard that had that eve

SD3 supports both polyphonic and channel aftertouch.

Is polyphonic required, or channel aftertouch is the most common what I’ve seen?

    • Both can be used. You’ll find the curves for both in the bottom area of the Grid Editor.

Can you create an articulation emulation like doing filter envelope on a cymbal – if not present?

    • You can trigger a faded release with either aftertouch or note length. This is changed in the Envelope box in the drums tab.
      • If you wish to use length you should also enable Show Note Length in the grid editor for those instruments (in Grid Editor; right click the instrument name to show that option).

Cannot change the sample rate (i.e. 44.1 K to 48K) in standalone.

    • What audio interface are you using?
    • What drivers for the interface are you using?
    • What operative system/version are you using?

We have looked in to this problem with e-drums that don’t send an aftertouch release and a fix will be implemented in the next update. We have no exact time estimate on this update, but it’s being released as soon as we can 🙂

When I load kits, cymbal choke hits are being assigned to the rims of toms. I am not sure why this is. How can I change this to the normal rim hit on tom?

In Settings / MIDI In/E-drums, select the Roland preset to match the instrument MIDI notes to your e-drums.

The ride and kick drum are always very low and reverby, as though only the room mics are present, whilst the toms are very over the top, loud and boomy, with long sustain after the hit.

Have you tried listening to the drums using headphones? Does it sound any different?

I haven’t used Mixcraft that much, but is it possible to change the order of the notes in the drum score notation?

You can rearrange the notes as you want them to look in Mixcraft. In that case, to make Superior Drummer 3 play the correct instruments, you need to make a Midi In preset (found in SD3 Settings / Midi In/E-drums), that will transform your changed notes in Mixcraft to the correct instrument again.

The order of the tracks in the Grid Editor is only a visual change, it doesn’t change any note numbers. However, we have that on our todo list to make it possible for users to keep the order they have created.

When opening EZdrummer2 in Logic and selecting the multi-out option, it won’t instantiate the multi-out aux channels in Logic Pro.

Just to be sure – you are loading the EZdrummer 2 Multi-Output (16x Stereo) instance in Logic?

The easiest way is to stack all the samples on the articulation you want (for example, stack all Center hit articulations you have downloaded on the Center articulation of the SD3 snare). You can drag and drop each audio file to the snare.

Then set the velocity gate on each articulation to where it should be triggered.

The best way to solve this would be for you reinstall the library update, which contains all the necessary graphics. The update is 2.2 GB, and if that’s not to big for you to download:

    • Open Product Manager
    • Go to Superior Drummer 3 Library Part 1 – Basic Sound Library
    • Download it by pressing the menu beside the download area
    • Screenshot-2019-03-21-at-09.19.57
    • When downloaded, you can install it from the same menu
