Go to (standalone) EZkeys > Settings > Audio/MIDI Setup… and check that you have selected the correct audio interface!

    hey !

    i have a question about ezkeys .

i cant find the chord d#

how can it be ?    i searched all the options at the wheel and there is not d#  .

there is a way to  choose a flat or sharp to a chord ?

In the chord selector, D# is noted as Eb. It could also have been written as D# (as both Eb and D# is written in the Circle of Fifths), but due to shortage of space we could only use one of them.

I’ll write it down as a feature request, to be able to choose to see sharps or flats!

Have you purchased a product, or are you referring to the cracked version you mentioned earlier?

Hm, you should be able to use multi out. In Logic Pro X (the bigger brother of Garageband) you load a multi-out version of EZdrummer 2, then route the different mixer channels in EZdrummer 2 to individual outputs, which can be assigned to different tracks. From there you can mix each channel individually (the kick, snare, etc).

I’m not sure if this can be done in Garageband, maybe some more experienced Garageband users here knows this?

I used Garageband many years ago, but when I wanted to have more control over the mixing I switched to Logic. Maybe something for you to consider? 🙂

You need to drag a MIDI file to the Song Creator’s drop zone first. This is the MIDI that the Song Creator will generate its different song parts from!

A year and a half later – I’m having the same issue and the resolution you suggested isn’t applicable (under “INSTRUMENT,” SD3 is selected).

What’s happening for me is I’m losing any changes to the midi.  For example, if I nix a snare drum hit, or shuffle a hit over a bit etc. – none of those edits are there when I re-open the session later.  Super frustrating.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Some bugs like this has been fixed for SD3 3.1.5. Have you saved projects, opened them again to find these bugs – all in 3.1.5?

I’m having the same issue in Cubase.  As soon as I add EZDrummer as an instument track, there is no sound and it says “audio engine inactive.”  When I click on the various drums there are no sounds, nothing happens at all, it’s pretty much frozen.   I’m only having this issue with EZdrummer 2, no other plugins.

What audio interface, and drivers, are you using?

Do you mean the “Default Project”? That has its own menu item in the File menu (Load Default Project). File > New will start a new project from scratch.

    – is it possible to put the libraries on this external hard disk to lighten my Mac and Logic hard disk?

Follow this thread to see how it’s done 🙂

Q: Can I change the download location?

Simply go to settings in Product Manager, and set the new download path!

So since February 2019 until almost December and Toontrack has nothing to say about this?, we all use different interfaces, DAWS and even operating systems, which points quite clearly to the common factor, if EZD needs an update in order to fix this t has to be done and needs to be done now. Almost a year with the same error it’s ridiculous.

We need to sort out what’s happening here so we can see if there’s a bug in EZdrummer 2.

Does the audio disappear when the “AUDIO ENGINE INACTIVE” is shown?

    • I ask because this sign itself is only a notifier that EZdrummer 2 hasn’t been given any audio buffers from the DAW, which it needs to render audio. So even if we removed the sign, EZdrummer 2 wouldn’t still get any audio buffers, e.g. wouldn’t be able to play audio.

If the audio disappears, does it only happen with EZdrummer 2, no other plugins?

Are you using it in a DAW?

Can you explain what you did before they got visually misplaced – like quantized, added swing, or similar?

    Hi Henrick,

yes I am using this in REAPER and I believe I had not tried to sync all of the snare at that time…was just going thru and tweaking the midi. When I tried to drag it over to the line it wouldn’t move until I had taken off auto snap…

This is an older project so I’ll keep my eye on the midi more closely…could be just an anomaly for that project in that particular midi block…I do quite a bit of custom cutting of the blocks and such…I’ll report back if it keeps up.

    Thx, Jeff

Thanks for the explanation. Yes, please report back if it occurs again.
