Do you have EZdrummer 2? If so, try to tap2find the beat you are after and enable “Show Web Shop MIDI”, EZdrummer 2 will search all Toontrack MIDI for similar results.
Tips: lower the BPM with the knob in the bottom left corner in Tap2Find to make it easier to tap the result you are after.

A sequencer (sometimes called DAW – digital audio work station, or host – hosting application) is the software that you use to record your songs. It can record sound (if you plug in a guitar and record it) and MIDI, for software (for synths, or for that matter – EZdrummer 2 ).
Some of the most used ones are Pro Tools, Logic Pro X, Garageband, Cubase, Reaper, Studio One etc…
You don’t have to use any of the listed above sequencers to use our products. If you are using EZdrummer 1, you can start it with Toontracks Solo application. If you are using EZdrummer 2, you can start it straight away, as it can run directly by it self.

If you’re trying to find MIDI that comes from EZdrummer 2 you can drag the MIDI to the Tap2Find box in EZdrummer 2. Later versions of Pro Tools doesn’t allow drag and drop from Pro Tools to other software (such as EZdrummer 2). You can in that case record arm the song track and play the MIDI from Pro Tools. In that way the MIDI will be recorded to EZdrummer’s song track. After that, drag the MIDI block to the Tap2Find drop zone and EZdrummer 2 will list similar sounding beats.

Do you use the latest version of EZdrummer 2? This will ensure that any old bugs are fixed etc. Go to the menu of EZdrummer 2 (in its top right corner) and select “Check for Updates…”
The tools are:
– Default Arrow Tool (the pointer): for selecting and moving clips – the tool that you use almost all the time.
– Split Song Block Tool (the scissors): for splitting blocks.
If you want to move many blocks at once you can either:
– Select all of the blocks and move them
or
– Select all of the blocks, right click on one of the selected blocks and select “Merge”. This will merge all the selected blocks into one block.
If you place your mouse cursor over the right or left edge of a MIDI block, the cursor will change to indicate how you can drag that block. If there’s a left pointing arrow, you can drag it to the left – and vice versa with right arrow.

It is implemented as a right click option directly on MIDI blocks on the song track, that wasn’t the case on the first versions of EZdrummer 2. We are aware that some users wants the feature from EZD1; where the tempo could be set directly in the browser. It is, due to several reasons, not just for us to put in a button that does this. I can’t make any promises about this feature – but I can promise that we do as much as possible to please our customers with the time we have…

A side note – EZdrummer 2 can handle decimals as a tempo – if you enter 153.35 it will use that. However, a rounded number will be shown. It’s problematic since it’s so hidden for the users, we will look into that.

Have you record enabled your track in Studio One 2? If not, MIDI isn’t sent to EZdrummer 2…
To my knowledge – ASIO4ALL can only serve one sound source at a time, meaning that you can’t listen to an MP3 or something else, in the same time as playing EZdrummer 2. However – this is a much discussed topic and there may be a solution if you google it

You can, besides recording on the EZdrummer 2 song track, record what you play on the interface directly into your DAW. What you need to do to accomplish that is to enable “MIDI out” in the settings for EZdrummer 2. Record arm your daw and when you click on a drum on EZdrummer 2’s interface the MIDI note will be recorded in your DAW.

Each time a MIDI note is received in EZdrummer 2, the “MIDI In” text in the lower right corner will light up. Does it light up when you press a key on your keyboard?
This is what my MIDI settings looks like when I use my Akai keyboard:

This is what it looks like when a note is received:

Btw, did you know that you can see what notes each drum is using? Open drum settings, for the snare for example, press the “Details” button and a list will be shown with the keys/notes that are used. The note/key pressed on your keyboard will be shown in the bottom (“MIDI In”)
