Scott is right, ctrl + drag is the copy keyboard shortcut.
If you mean a function that duplicates the selected block just by dragging its edge, then no – it’s not possible.

Ctrl + alt is the shortcut for the scissor tool. Alt + drag should work. Is it possible that your ctrl button is enabled somehow, faulty keyboard etc?

It sounds to me like something is happening with your audio interface when you run multiple instances of audio software. Are you using ASIO drivers? Have you noticed this behaviour with other software than Toontrack stuff?

If you run EZdrummer 2, you can enable “Show Web Shop MIDI” in the Search tab, and select the Songwriters Pack in the tags. Doing so let’s you preview the content of that MIDI pack. You can narrow your search even further by checking more filters. Selecting Type > Fill will list all fills in Songwriters Pack, for example.

You can drag your custom made drum MIDI to Tap2Find and search for similar beats. If you find anything that sounds similar, you can replace either the entire custom MIDI block, or just parts of it (just the hi-hat for example).

Do you extract the files or just double click the zip-file? Those are two different things, you need to make sure all the files are extracted into a new folder, and the run the installer from there. If you are extracting the files and this problem still occurs, please let us know…

Thanks for the feedback, it’s noted 🙂 We can’t comment on future releases, but we listen to all of our customers requests and consider them!

Can EZkeys output MIDI in realtime to your DAW? So one can preview on a VSTi synth for example while building, not after having exported the MIDI data to a MIDI track in the DAW?
Yes

If you in Edit Play Style select a crash and increase the Amount knob, more crashes will be added. But if that’s not exactly how you’d like the crashes to be played, you should edit the MIDI in your DAW

The effects are made to be controlled only by the two knobs, so that’s what you can change!

It’s by design, since the the chords that are being played on the song track already are visible on the song track.

Tap2Find will follow the time signature you set on your project (below the song track), so adjust that to the time signature of your choice

I am not sure I understood your question – do you want to change chords without them being audible previewed?

Also, on the subject of keyboard shortcuts I’ve just realised that there aren’t any assigned to the undo/redo when dragging MIDI files into the timeline.
What do you mean by that – you can’t undo using keyboard shortcuts when you have dragged MIDI to your time line?
There is a basic problem here, which is that the DAW:s takes care of keyboard shortcuts. If you, for example, press ctrl+z to undo, the undo will be handled by the host – undoing the latest thing you did in your host, not in EZdrummer 2. We are aware of this problem, and we understand that keyboard shortcuts is a great way to increase workflow, and we will continue to look into it. But as described above – It’s not as simple as to just put it in the software.

EZkeys can control any virtual instrument that uses MIDI in, a bass instrument for example. Enable MIDI out in EZkeys and route that MIDI (in your DAW) to your bass instrument. Drag some bass MIDI to EZkeys time line, and then you can edit the chords etc.
Note that EZkeys is made for doing piano MIDI so it may not always work as you intend. EZkeys can for example add multiple notes at the same time, which may not be wanted with the bass.
Another way to do it is to simply drag the bass MIDI to EZkeys and write the bass line using EZkeys sounds. When you are happy with it, drag the MIDI to your bass track in your DAW.
This is experimental, but it should work in some cases!
