The touch screen should work just as your mouse does, the difference is that you “click” with your finger instead of the cursor. If you don’t get latency by clicking with your mouse you shouldn’t get latency with a touch screen. There is nothing in EZdrummer 2 that will create latency due to the type of screen you are using. However, the sound card and the drivers you use will decide how high your latency will be. I have tried EZdrummer 2 on a Windows 10 touch screen computer, which worked just fine.

A dual core i5 should work just fine. Put some extra memory into your computer is my advice, 2 GB that’s standard in many computers tends to run out quickly when making music, since music programs tends to use a lot of memory. You’ll find the complete system requirements list on the bottom of http://www.toontrack.com/product/ezdrummer-2.

There is no feature in EZdrummer 2 for controlling the envelope (attack and release). Some presets contains controls for toms sustain (EZdrummer 2 Modern – Pop for example). I can understand that it would be useful to be able to control this, and your idea is noted ๐Ÿ™‚ Thanks for the feedback!

I too want midi drum endings, such as tasty or crazy cymbal rolls and fills, not necessarily โ€œin tempoโ€ but realistic, like a real drummer plays when a song breaks down.

Have you tried EZdrummer 2, or the demo version of it? It comes with different kinds of endings, and they are found in the Browser tab, Search tab or through the Song Creator feature.

Regarding your tempo question: Yes, just set up a tempo map in Logic and EZdrummer 2 will follow that tempo – as long as you have the Follow Host button enabled!
I’ll let someone else answer your Avenged Sevenfold question since I’m a Pop/EDM guy ๐Ÿ˜€

No, the Song Structures doesn’t read folders (like you tried). We may have a look at that for future updates.
The lock MIDI blocks may also be a good idea – we’ll investigate that too ๐Ÿ™‚ I can’t tell you what or what not will be implemented in the future, but we listen to all suggestions we get from our customers.

If you use your mouse wheel to change the value, you can press the Shift key while scrolling to make finer adjustments. Pressing the shift key will also work if you are using Linear Knob Mode (this can be changed in main Menu/Settings/General…). If you right click on the velocity control in Edit Play Style, the current value will be shown.
I hope this will help you, reply back here if you still encounter problems with the control!

Make sure you have checked “Preset Sets Routing” in the bottom of the main library preset selector, under “User Presets”. When it’s checked, the outputs saved with the preset will be used ๐Ÿ™‚

Yes. The EZX libraries will even be improved with new presets (using the new effects in EZdrummer 2), and the graphics will be updated ๐Ÿ™‚

When you have inserted EZdrummer as a multiple output plug-in, go to the mixer in Logic. On the EZdrummer channel you should have a + sign at the bottom right side of the channel. Press it to reveal the first output stereo channel from EZdrummer. Press + again to show the next etc.
When you have added one mixer channel for each output you need from EZdrummer, select all the mixer channels, right click and select “Create Tracks”. You now have tracks for each output, which you can bounce, do automations with etc.

Hm, I use Logic 10.10.2 with EZdrummer 2 and it works perfectly every time (buffer at 128). Have you checked that you are using the latest version of EZdrummer 2? In the main menu of EZdrummer 2 there’s a entry called “Check for Updates…”.

There’s a thread on a reaper forum describing how to draw velocity curves. I bet that they are MIDI learnable, so you can can control it with a hardware device. I have, however, never tried it myself ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. I’m not sure about this question – do you want to know if there is any MIDI in the MIDI library that is played in a Minor key?
    2. It’s just a graphically issue – if you press the bottom part (on the GUI) of a white key it’s played in full velocity, if you play the bottom part of a black key it’s not played in full velocity. This doesn’t reflect how the keys really work – if you press them on a MIDI controller they all work the same.
I get that this is confusing and we should probably change it so that pressing the bottom part of a black key also plays in full velocity!
