In Grooves folder, you can do a search without including User MIDI (or any other folder). Right click on it and select “Exclude”.

Thanks for the feedback! It’s noted.

The velocity curve is changed for the selected note. In your screenshot – the velocity curve is changed for the kick, but no kick is shown in the analyzer. What shows up in the analyzer when you play a kick? It should show the changes made by the velocity curve! See my attached screenshot.
(There are small changes of the interface in my screenshot, it’s because we are improving that area for a coming release)

There is currently no “nudge” function, but we know that it’s a requested feature, so we have noted it!
Until then – zooming in lets you move objects small distances.
For example – In the grid editor – you could click the “Snare” name to select the entire row, zoom in and move the MIDI notes a little to the right to make the snare play a bit after the beat.

Do you mean that when you start Superior Drummer 3, you want it to have certain drums loaded etc?
In that case – set up Superior Drummer 3 the way you like it (with drum selections, MIDI on song track, Grooves filters pressed etc) – and go to File menu, and select “Set Current as Default Project”. Superior Drummer will now start like that!

If I misunderstood your question, please reply 🙂

In EZdrummer 2 – the undo system only operated on the song track – thus the undo/redo arrows was placed there. In Superior Drummer 3, the undo/redo system works all areas, so the undo/redo menu options are placed on a “global” position. This is why it is like it is now.

We have discussed placing undo/redo in song track menu too – to have it closer to the song track, but we felt that option + Z is what most people will use. We will check this over again, and see what we’ll do about it! Thanks for the feedback.

Ah, ok. I think that is caused by Logic reloading all plugins (it’s actually loading a pre-saved project for each plugin). When Superior Drummer 3 re-loads the project the windows are re-attached. Logic does this in some situations, same when you change buffer size in Audio Settings for example).

I know about this system, because I have some plugins where this “load and save” project actually clears some plugins for me, which is annoying.

We will see if we will make any changes in Superior, regarding saving detached windows in projects. Thanks for the feedback!

    – Do Superior have the same time signature as Sonar Platinum? If not, that can cause this?
    – A loop area in Superior Drummer 3 will make it loop, e.g. possibly not have same position as Sonar.
    – Is it correct when you start playback from first bar?

All info given to us will help us solve the case 🙂

Follow the tips in the posts above, and you’ll be able to get multi tracked MIDI from one single audio file.
Note that while it’s possible to use one single audio file – you’ll get the best results tracking multi track drum audio.

We will look at this and hopefully fix it in a coming update.

The future hit instruments are a special kind of instruments, designed to play articulations with transients in the end of the file. This is because playing a tambourine, for example, starts to make a sound when you start to shake it, and a little later – the transient (meaning the accent, the “hit”) is played.

This is why they are called Future Hit instruments, and they require special MIDI to be used. We have shipped pre-made MIDI for those, found in Grooves tab, or auto created by increasing Amount on such an instrument in Edit Play Style. It is a complex MIDI which is using velocity to control what articulation to play – e.g. the instruments can’t be played like a regular instrument.

They do, by default, get note number 2,3,4 or 5 – and we recommend that they use those, so the pre-made MIDI we ship works as intended.

In your case, you want to play it with an external MIDI keyboard. You should then only use the “Shake Hit Immediate”, or the “Shake Back Immediate” articulations – since these are the only regular working articulations these instruments have.

This is one way you can do that:
    – Select “Shake Hit Immediate”
    – turn off the Velocity Curve and Velocity Gate boxes.

    – select the rest of the articulations
    – In Level box, turn volume to Off

If you now set the MIDI note of this instrument to a MIDI note that you can use on your keyboard, it should be playable!

Please note that we see if we can make the process of playing these instruments with your keyboard easier, and hopefully add this in a coming update…
