I would love to be able to hear a preview of the 3rd party samples before importing them without having to exit the standalone app. Something like the instrument search in Superior Drummer 3 would work great.

So you can’t preview audio files while Superior Drummer 3 is running? Are you using ASIO drivers?

Also, it would be nice to have a live mode in which you could have large buttons or text with the drum kit or song names for easy load access in an edrum live performance situation. You could also have an instrument mixer on the bottom of the page for on the fly live volume adjustments. It’s too many steps to load presents with one hand while performing. Something similar to the look of the macros would be fine.

You can prepare your live presets Save them as User Presets, so that some macro knobs controls the volumes you want to control.
The idea about bigger texts/headers for e-drum mode is noted!

It would be great to be able to double click in the grid to add notes without having to change tools. Or by holding down a modifier key to enable the pencil. Thanks. SD3 is fantastic!

Actually – just press Cmd + Alt (on Mac) / ony Alt (on PC) – to flip the currently used tool 🙂

I don’t know if this tip will help you, but you can try it:
    – use your source file to search with Tap2Find.
    – Filter the results to only show Fills
    – Take the one that sounds most like the source file, and use it in Song Creator

If you click on Odd Grooves to the left (the libraries column), you will only see Odd Grooves files, and it’s sub folders…
You can also choose to only show files that are in the currently selected folder (not its subfolders). Go to Grooves menu (top left of Grooves tab), un-select “Show MIDI Files from Subfolders”…

If you have non Toontrack MIDI folders, you can add them to the Grooves tab in Groove menu > “Add Linked Folder…”

The way you can do this is to drag your custom made MIDI to Tap2Find, and select similar sounding grooves. You can also use Song Creator, to find matching parts for a certain groove.

I can access the computer. But I’m not sure if I know were the 2 buttons in the interface are ? Do you have a screenshot ?

When you save a Drum and Mixer user preset, they are placed in a subfolder in the menu. When you press up or down arrows (see attached screenshot), the next (or previous) preset in the list will be loaded, so you can switch between your saved presets. Screen-Shot-2017-10-09-at-09.07.36.png
