Or have you (accidentally) hidden the tracks in Logic? Pressing keyboard shortcut “H” will reveal hidden tracks… Just guessing here, but worth a shot 🙂

As you noticed – you can use the current instrument positions in the library you have loaded, or add as many extra instruments as you’d like (well, there is a limit of 127, but it should be enough) 🙂

You can also change all the MIDI notes on all of the instruments. You should do this in Settings / MIDI In/E-drums, where you can do the MIDI mapping, adjust velocity responses etc. and then save a preset for each kit/hardware controller you’d like.

You can also change the internal MIDI notes (in the Drums tab), but that’s not advised since the mapping will only be used for the preset you are working on, and the Toontrack MIDI files won’t sound as intended…

There is currently no way to MIDI learn preset changed, e.g. press a button on a MIDI controller to change the kit nor Drums and Mixer preset (the big one that contains all the drums and the mixer settings).

However, there are users who loads Superior in a DAW that supports VST presets (or similar), which saves and loads the plugin in any wanted state.
These can be changed with a MIDI button and I would assume that these can be connected to keyboard shortcut keys too.

I attached a screenshot of what the VST preset looks like in Cubase 9 (the “pearl bb kit” preset is currently loaded) .

We are aware of that users would like to see an option to change presets within Superior Drummer 3, and we noted it in our todo list for coming updates…

Some samples are crashing SD3 when selected

    – have you installed the entire Superior Drummer 3 core library (around 250 GB)?
    – If you save that to a Superior Drummer 3 project, and open that project in SD3 standalone mode – does it still crash if you do that? (I want to rule out Cubase or any other sources of causing this crash).
    – If you start a new clean project in Cubase, and only load SD3, then loading the project mentioned above – does it crash if you repeat what you did in the Grooves tab?
