Has anything been done on this yet?
I’d love to be able to load my “next saved drum preset” from a footswitch or midi pad.
Instead of manually loading it from the computer keyboard.
Would be so much smoother in a gig situation, where time between songs is limited.

Thanked by: metrosuperstar and Henrik EkblomI’m not sure about that scenario. It’s possible that the calibration stayed when changing just drums or mixers.
But I know when I opened a new “Project” I had to reset it again.
I know I mentioned “when changing preset” in my original message, but I may have meant ” when changing project”.
Is this still true about losing the ambience/reverb after editing the release time, or was it fixed in an update?
I reduced the release ever so slightly on a few toms, and I still do hear the room/ambience (even when the amb channel is solo).
This is what it should do, imo. Reducing the release time is like putting gel or tape on the drum head. But the reverb and room size would still exist (and it seems like it does). I don’t see where the steps in the above response are needed.
Thanks again!
When I do change the volume with the mouse, it moves rather quickly.
I want to make more gradual changes in volume (it tends to jump 1.5 dB at a time).
Would this be a windows mouse setting, or it there something in SD3 I can do to make the volume changes with a mouse more gradual?
I just figured out the macro buttons, and binding them to a volume fader.
I set this up for my mixer outs (kick, snare, cymbals, toms, main).
Looks like this is saved with the particular project, and when I load a new project, it’s gone.
Is there any way to store this macro setup to load with new projects w/o needing to set them up from scratch again?
Yeah, I hear the rototoms.
But I also here some other toms that are a bit deeper and more wet.
Actually, I think the toms on the EZX Reggae kit get close to that sound.
So, if I have Metal Machine and Metal! Does “made of metal” add anything new that’s worthwhile?
I don’t really care so much about the MIDI patterns, since I play everything myself on a Roland kit.
I’m just looking for a good drum sample pack, especially the toms.
Well, I’ll answer my own question.
From the online samples, I liked the Made of Metal and Metal! samples the best.
Metal Machine and Metalhead seem really focused on metal only, at least to me.
