Hi, just found this thread and wondering what the latest opinions are.
My criteria ranked most to least important:
Ease of integration with SD3
Capacity to make use of SD3’s sounds and detail
Price
(distant fourth) Included sounds
If there’s a kit that stands far above all others in integration with SD3 and with which SD3 sounds especially good, I’ll consider buying regardless of price.
Better news would be that there are several/many kits that work equally well with SD3, but that differ greatly as to quality of onboard sounds.

1) Is EZDrummer designed so that two consecutive snare hits (for example) will use two different samples? Or might both hits use the same sample?
2) If I want the track to play different snare samples, am I better off varying velocities or using the same velocity throughout? Or does it not matter?
