Hey jthree,
You will need to open the tempo track and modify the tempo manually between the blocks. If you have the Original tempo button active, the first block you add to a track will set the track tempo, unless you have a tempo map already set in the tempo track.
For more information about the tempo track, see the last section of 5.4 THE TIMELINE

You can hold shift to “lock” the horizontal position of the notes when moving them by click and drag.

Thanked by: kevin jesenskyHey jthree,
The Audio Tracker only works within its own tab, so you can’t A/B from the song track.
EZbass isn’t designed to be an audio workstation – the audio tracker is there to let you convert audio to MIDI and doesn’t offer what you’re asking about. Your “export” from the audio tracker is only the MIDI, any audio you want to play along to your song has to be played outside of EZbass. In FL Studio, for instance, with EZbass loaded as a plugin to synchronize playback.
The solution to your final problem is to change the key in your song track before adding the MIDI from your tracking session, alternatively changing key with “No transpose” and chords from the “Correct…” window if you have to do it after the fact.

Hey Jonas,
When you stack instruments SD3 should create X-channels for the stacked instrument’s close mics, meaning that the two stacked instruments are routed to different channels in the mixer. To see what instruments are routed where, open the “Route Instrument Microphones” window and select the position you have stacked instruments in. In your case, your mono snare should stay routed to the default instrument channel, and the stereo instrument should receive new X-channels in the gray “User Mics” section of the mixer.
If you want to route the instruments into the same microphone it’s possible to do, but you cannot switch between mono and stereo in the mixer, so you’ll have to route your default instrument to the stereo X-channel in that case. Note that SD3 does not compensate for pan law when you route that way. You’ll also have less phase control if you decide to go down that road.

Hi Loz,
I’m sorry it’s taken a while to get back to you.
Your issue stems from the sustain pedal not receiving a release signal, meaning it keeps being pushed down even when you don’t mean it to. I looked through the Urban Jazz MIDI and all clips that use the sustain pedal have that signal at the end, so this issue appeared when you were editing the MIDI.
It’s entirely possible that you simply removed the sustain signal by mistake. See the following comparison between your track (blue) and the original unedited clips (green). If you open the MIDI editor in your DAW and add a sustain pedal node with value 0 at the end of bar 18, your issues in the pre chorus should go away. Notice that the two “offending” blocks didn’t have any sustain pedal signals at all in them, so at some point in your editing the signals in bar 23 and 24 slipped in there.
It could also be related to some kind of quantizing being applied to the MIDI when you moved it from EZkeys to your DAW (causing the signal to be cut off when the DAW inserts the MIDI into the track). This is a problem we run into from time to time with Pro Tools. Since there are sustain pedal events present that aren’t in the original clips, this is unlikely to be your issue.
Hope you get it to work when you adjust the sustain pedal!

Thanked by: Loz RaboneHey Loz,
Could you attach an EZkeys project with the offending MIDI files in the song track, so we can take a closer look at the individual clips? You may need to put it in a zip archive for the forum to accept it.

Hey LeanderL,
After copying a library to a new location, you need to update the Library path within SD3 as well (from the Libraries/Paths settings page).
If you can load the library in SD3, the updater should also work.

Hey CharlieF,
In standalone, you can select which channel SD3 should listen to from the bottom “tab” in the Audio/MIDI Setup window. Unfortunately, that also affects MIDI CC messages.
The best solution for you may be to download the X-TOUCH Editor from Behringer’s website and customize your pots/encoders (and buttons) to use different CCs. 20-31 and 102-119 should make your controller “safe” in most applications.
CC1, CC4 and CC16 are reserved in SD3 for e-drum “trigger zones”.

Thanked by: Nigel FarleyHey kimono,
If you select a couple of the legato notes, you will see that the legato icon is active (next to the articulations in the header bar). Click that and the notes should be played in harmony instead of legato.
If you’re playing live, check the key switch layout for the “Polyphony” key (A-1). The key switch layout can be opened from the Help menu.

Hey aussiejoe,
Do you have multiple softwares using ASIO active?
Did you try the solution reported in this post (even if the settings look correct, try switching to WASAPI and back with the correct settings in the ASIO controls again):

Let me know how it goes
