+1 from me on this. A Surf Instrumental / early-60s beat MIDI pack would fill a real gap in the EZdrummer library.

What would make it especially useful is not just “generic rock with more toms,” but the actual feel of those records — tight snare-driven grooves, tom-led intros/fills, train beats, shuffle variations, and those dramatic stop/start accents you hear in The Ventures, The Shadows, Dick Dale, The Surfaris, The Chantays, etc.

A pack like this could easily cover:

    • straight surf 8ths in a few tempos
    • Wipe Out-style tom grooves / solos
    • Apache / Shadows-type grooves with that slightly restrained UK instrumental feel
    • double-time surf energy for Dick Dale / Miserlou type tracks
    • slow/medium instrumental ballad grooves for Hank Marvin / Ventures-style melodies
    • lots of period-correct fills, press rolls, cymbal crashes and ending tags

I think it would appeal not only to surf players, but also to anyone doing retro instrumental rock, spy themes, garage rock, rockabilly crossovers, or TV/film cues with a vintage 60s flavour.

    Would definitely buy this.
