Rikk said it, if you own SD3 consider ezdrummer 3 as a new SD3 expansion, nothing more nothing less
If that’s the case, then they need to offer the upgrade discount to SD3 owners.
doesn’t matter now, the upgrade discount is no longer available anyway so…

isn’t the drummer in this type of shows out of sight/hidden 3 feet below the stage? in that case why do you want an acoustic looking kit?
You can choose the articulations you need for your edrum and deactivate those you won’t, it would be nice if the current included midi mappings do that according to your edrum but due to the fact that there is a lot of variations it would be a huge task.
Rooms Of Hansa and Legacy of Rock are sold. Still for sale SD3 Crossgrade from EZD2 and Fields of Rock
I’m having the same issue with the display being to large to navigate anything. What is the “standalone”?
the SD3 app, without being loaded in a DAW
Yeah, it’s like the “top velocity” function of the mimic pro, where you hit the pad as hard as you play and the value gets set accordingly even if you reach only lets say half the range the full dynamic range will be available for your playing style, a 12 year old kid will hit differently than a full bearded 45 motorcycle dude… the 12 year old won’t reach 127 but will enjoy the full volume and dynamic range.
Limiting the velocity range will not decrease dynamic range. The samples’ volume will be scaled accordingly, preserving the entire dynamic range of the mic.
Not the sound but the volume and easiness to reach it, I hit my snare as hard as I can and I can’t never get 127, increasing sensitivity on the module to get more volume is wrong, reducing the dynamic range by modifying the curve is the only solution that works for me, if you’re a heavy hitter and reach 127 easily well that’s another topic…
Also that’s why I mentioned the core SD3 library is very quiet even at full 127, compare it to the Fields of Rock, hit your drum to get 127 and it will hurt your ears, so saying 127 is the loudest doesn’t always apply…
The stock SD3 library is very soft/low volume even at full velocity 127, you need to modify the curve/velocity range
