Also, one thing it took me a little bit of time to figure out… If you want EZ Bass to follow the song chords of EZ Keys but sync playing to SD3, drag the Midi from EZK into EZB. This will bring in Chords. Then, drag in ONLY Midi generated by your selection of what to sync to in the SD3 performance. Make sure a drag directly to the Midi lane only to replace MIDI from EZK.

Congrats to Toontrack for fixing this “inserting SD3 with EZ Drummer 3” issue in record time!
Both SD3 and EZ Drummer 3 inserting and working as expected, in Cakewalk.
Thanks
Operating system: Windows 10
To confirm, the SD3 update fixed the issue in CW? Thanks.

I’m in the same boat with SD3 in Cakewalk. TT has listed it as a known issue in the release notes section of the site. I’m waiting for the fix.

Thanked by: strascakNot a satisfying answer to this, I realize, but a work around. I start my songs on bar 3 in my DAW. I drop song part in SD3 on bar 3. That gives me a 2-bar count-in where I can use my DAW metronome to count in. Or I’ll use a one-shot count in on its own audio track, say a hi hat or sticks. When the song is done, I trim the count in measures off to taste. Not ideal, but gets the job done for me.

Product page… Keys & Strings EZkeys MIDI was created with the Mellotoon, its rich palette of sounds and music history in mind.

Hi all. I posted a link to this request this in Requests & Feedback. https://www.toontrack.com/forums/forum/customer-service/requests-and-feedback/
This thread request goes back two years. Might weigh in over there if still interested. The squeaky wheel and such….

Well… this EZK thread dates back 6 years now with Zero movement on the most basic of pleas. GUI, grid editor, etc. Seems EZ drummer 3 has been stealing the show with its fancy new version. C’mon, TT, please bring us out of the 80’s functionality and apply what you’ve already developed on the drum side. Pretty please, with sugar on top? ;-}

Thanked by: LaroidxHi all. Suggest everyone head here and post about it. It’s been asked for for years on this forum. This is the feature requests/feedback forum. Not optimistic it will result in anything other than the silence we’ve had here for years and years, but worth a shot!

An update to EZ Keys has been requested for years and years with no results in this forum. You might try here in Requests and Feedback. Not much optimism here. By silence and action it looks like TT is focusing on EZ Bass and the drum side of things.

Thanked by: Suat GoerenHi John. Tried the quantize tools on the hat. Yes, the tools work on them. I guess it’s just the future hits the tools don’t, so you have to tweak them by hand, if needed.

I’m a devout EZbass user, both for writing and sometimes...I’m a devout EZbass user, both for writing and sometimes in my actual projects. Now, I’m also looking for a vst to enter guitar parts into my DAW. Guitar is my primary instrument, so I don’t need help writing parts and I’m not looking for premade riffs. I tend to do midi based mock-ups of songs when collaborating with others, as this makes changing tempo and moving parts around much easier as we write.
Has anyone found a guitar vst similar to EZBass that they recommend? I need something that I can use for creating guitar parts – electric guitar chord work intertwined with single notes, including simple muting, hammer-ons, pull-offs, etc. Has anyone found something suitable for this?
Thanks for your thoughts!

The short answer is that TT has abandoned developing EZK, unfortunately. Check the forum and you’ll see years of pleading to bring EZK into this century. Regrettably, the answer is crickets. Breath in, breath out, save yourself a lot of frustration and move on. It’s like meeting a child where he is developmentally. It is what it is.
