The TD27 and probably the TD 50 modules do send the correct midi control data on the level of mute being applied to the digital ride cymbal. SD3 just doesn’t seem to be looking at that variation data. The degree of mute on a ride cymbal is what I was asking for.
Here is a fix for you 🙂 –> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m_jx2es4F2U
May I also receive your workaround? Thank you!
Sure. Get in touch via the FB forum if you don’t want to post your email address here.
I need the workaround too z… igr.fleury@gmail.com
I’ll send an email.
BTW, this vid shows the fix and the switching of the engines. So by hitting a dedicated pad/zone you can reactivate the original Toontrack hihat engine (in order to be able to play also hihat splashes).
It’s a matter of translation. PolyPressure note number have to match. I can look into your issue and dial you in if you want pro support. 🙂
No, buddy, YOU prove it.
You can read yourself? Just look for my about 500 posts on Vdrums forum – there you and anyone else can find it (and this is just one forum as an example -> soooo many tips on the FB groups). And don’t dare to repeat your defamatory lie that there is no free and useful help in these 500 posts BUDDY!
Yea, the other guy is me. LOL.
He has never (and you can easily verify this) offered any usable advice to anyone for free.
That’s again an outrageous lie! Prove it (it’s so easy!) or everybody knows you’re spreading lies.
if he really cared about the electronic drumming community he would be offering that advice for free
LOL! Ridiculous! Wake up, you’re propably dreaming.
All of the “solutions” he offers are simple MIDI hacks that have been known forever.
What? You know absolutely NOTHING about my work. So this claim is a super ridiculous lie.
especially since he does not own any of the products in question.
What? What do I not own???
to get a relatively small increase in performance
You see there it is: “relatively small”. Could also be “relatively big”. Again: check your demands and what you want to achieve. I’m not always on flagship e-drum hardware myself. I just use it purposefully.
The answer is not always to tell someone to buy the best. You should know promoting get good drums which in my opinion are poor.
I think it’s quite simple: just buy the best if you want the best. If you are super happy with your equipment or mediocre stuff I wouldn’t advise you to try to get better equipment. And opinions differ 😉
Oh man, seems that in the end you don’t want you snare bleed (I doubt anyone else will be able to fix it). After your kind words I won’t fix your issue, that’s for sure.
MintBerryCrunch is well known on other forums as the guy who sells crappy DAW solutions to problems he insists other people are having even when they don’t.
Prove it man! -> Find one guy on earth who reports about “crappy DAW solutions”. The contrary is the case as you easily can read on my forum (check user reviews). And tell me why people ask me for fixes (also here in this forum).
He’s a huckster who hijacks other people’s threads in order to scam them out of money. If he can’t be banned, at least he should be ignored.
If you were in Germany or Europe my lawyer would have sent you a cease-and-desist letter regarding your spreading of these outrageous lies.
But is it really worth the amount it would cost to get when a td20 works more than adequately. As I said there are advantages but none worth a few grand over what he already has
Depends on your demands. A guy like Ribot (from V-Drums forum) would say absolutely! And I would say the 18 inch ride definitely is nice (the size and the big bell make a big difference). The hotspotting behavior at that latency is state of the art, so if you’ve got mid triggers I would say yes. (The eDRUMin won’t come close regarding hotspot suppress at really low latency).
The TD-50 has great hotspot improvements (compared with a TD-30) so definitely a benefit using mid trigger pads.
Also, you can have the Roland Digital Ride soft choking features (placing your hand on the sensor vs. grabbing the edge) translated to SD3: LINK 🙂
But this is a forum for helping people freely
Where is this stated?
I just let people know that their inquieries and issues which obviously can’t be resolved by people (or the crew) can be resolved. I cannot imagine there is an issue with this as you can of course ignore it ;).
@John: please understand that I’m a full time job software drumming mentor/expert/teacher and I don’t want to share highly specialized fixes for free. You also do not have SD3 for free though the world would greatly benefit from it, do you?
As you are one of the ingenious crew which I love you can get a free sample: send me your preset and I will return the fixed preset to you.
Thanks, I know how to work around this using a DAW. I was wondering if this was possible inside the plugin itself, or in standalone.
I’m talking about the standalone (/plugin itself) so no DAW needed. 🙂
No, what I’m looking for is the snare buzz that you get when you enable bleed (by default only the other shell mics are enabled) in the Bottom mic on the main/default snare drum. So that when I hit one of the toms, I can hear that tom, along with the buzz of the snare, on the Bottom mic.
I can fix this with a workaround: You’ll have your main snare bleed-buzzing when playing X-drums of all kinds and from all packs. Please contact me on FB if you want the fix. 🙂
