Hi all,
Taking onboard the wealth of advice and opinions I’ve put up a new mix of the same track as before (new ones soon to come) just wondered if anyone would care to have a listen and see if i’m moving in the right direction mix-wise as for the more epic structure, pfff well it’s metal why can’t it be big 🙂

I agree – it can be big! And that’s an okay thing by me!
I think this sounds kewl, too.
The only thing that struck me (in a critical, opinionated type way) is that there might be a tad bit too much low end on the guitars.
But that is just my humble opinion … I still think it sounds good.
Thanks so much for sharing with us, and I hope my opinion doesn’t offend … it’s not meant to.
Take care, David
Scott

Hey hey Scott, cheers for the feedback it’s a bit of an eternal loop finding a mix that works for your perception of what the music should sound like and then of course what sounds best on a majority of systems, what sort of Freq’ would you say is worth cutting on the guitars? I’ve got a low end roll-off on them already so I can just shift that up or scoop a few low-mids if need be, but no offence ever taken, always grateful for the input 🙂
If you fancy taking a look I’ve just posted a different track see if the sound is still there?
Cheers,
David @ VOLiTiAN
