Newbye question: EZDrummer 2 presets mix and match

This may or may not be possible and I’d like to know before I buy.

Is there a way to use, say, preset “A” on the toms and preset “B” on the snare?
Totally unrealistic, yes, but is it technically possible?

Hi,

that’s not possible in one instance of EZdrummer 2, no.
You can load 2 instances of EZdrummer 2 and unload everything but the Toms with preset ‘A’ in instance 1 and then load preset ‘B’ in instance 2 and unload the Toms.
Feed both instances the same MIDI and it will be like you had everything in one instance with two presets applied.
