identifying a part once it’s in the DAW (EZD2)

OK, so I build song parts in the song track. One issue I run into is that sometimes I will have a fill that I have dragged into my DAW (Pro Tools) for which I later want to use ‘edit play style.’ Sometimes I have trouble identifying where I got it. It’ll say something like “Fills 3-03” in my DAW, but I can’t find it searching in EZD2. Any workaround for this? If I export that clip as MIDI and drag it in to Song Creator, will I be able to find it that way?

I really have to get smarter in terms of not clearing the song track till I know I’m done.

Hi,

you can record the part from Pro Tools to the EZdrummer 2 Song Track, just set up the Bars in question on the Pro Tools Timeline without Loop Play enabled and then click record in EZdrummer 2, then play the section. After you have recorded it to the EZdrummer 2 Song Track you can right click and Search it.
