Usually changing the name is connected to some actual physical event, for me i had a new expensive motherboard.
Result new config, all Auths needed again hence change of name.
Another time it was just a new comp .If you don’t have any real physical hardware change in your system i am not sure why you would change the name.
I am sure if you do it will be counted.

Only changing the Computer name *shouldn’t* trigger the Auth scheme. I trust you let us know if it would.

Thanks for the info. I’ll be changing my entire computer in a weekk or so – so that will trigger a re-authorisation I’m sure 😉
I’ll just change the name then.

I’m just sticking my existing disks into the new PC, so I was going to change the name first while I was thinking of it. I’ll just try to remember to do everything at once.
