I completely agree with Anders Hansen. I have spent a lot of money on EZdrummer and EZdrummer 2 plus a bunch of EZXs. I also think the crossgrade price is a little expensive.

I agree. Once you’ve invested so much into EZdrummer…the crossgrade should be MUCH lower. I really would like to get onboard with Superior and start spending my $ down that road…but $319 just to cross over (and I’d HAVE to purchase the HD, as my internet is pretty slow)…ugh. So $518 in total….ouch:(

Superior Drummer 3 Upgrade is Far too expensive.. I’d love to have it, but $300 really? Come on guys! Needs to get down to at least $150 before most people can afford this.

it’s a big price but ok the snares will sound better than any EZX

I think it would be a good idea for Toontrack to start a campaign where they showed some EXTRA LOVE for existing customers that wanted to cross grade from EZ drummer 2 to Superior Drummer 3, but who thought its still a bit to expensive in these trying Corona times. A good summer discount would be much appreciated.

    I agree totally.

I have spent money on EZ2 plus 4 addons.

The upgrade for existing customers is too expensive – a bit of an insulting way to treat loyal customers actually.

Looking at FXpansion`s BFD range instead.

I couldn’t agree more with most of the comments in this thread regarding cost. It’s greedy. Plain and simple and short-sighted for those already invested in their products (which are excellent!)…but there is a point where the price does not match the value! In the words of Dragon’s Den, “I’m Out!”.

Iv’e been a ToonTrack customer from EZ1 to SD2.  Kept loyal, upgraded when necessary and stayed away from other options.  The SD3 upgrade at a relatively reasonable price was gone long when I finally saw information from 3rd party retailers it actually existed.  Currently, a mere 20% discount as well as considering SD2 announcement was about it no longer supported – I know it’s been said before … that’s a slap in the face to the customers that have stood by ToonTrack.

There are other options.  Good luck folks.

Let add my voice to the “Are you kidding me” price of $319.00 for a cross grade!!! I have EZD2 and now EZD3 and a bunch of extras so this price is a stab in the eye! I want to be able to get Mallets, Rods and Brushes and that only comes with an additional SDX at $179.00? We are musicians not millionaires!

I for one have purchased all the way through and including EZ-DRUMMER 3. I just want to have Superior in my studio, but can’t justify the price. Great product, but too much similarity for me to go that high.
