I could use some help on a few SD3 related issues. Wherever practical, feel free to recommend the section of the manual giving instruction or videos instructing on the specific issue
Grid editor and instrument specific replacement overdubs
I’m trying to figure out how to use the SD3.1 Grid Editor to record overdubs to existing grooves.
1) Pull Groove to Song Tracker
2) Using MIDI controller (KBD, E-drums, finger pads, etc.)Overdub TO REPLACE and existing lane, such as a hi-hat.
Is there a way to do this while in the Grid Editor and not just the Grooves tab? That’s the only way to see what happens to the individual notes and not just be viewing the MIDI ‘block’ in the Song Tracker.
Can this be done without affecting any other pre-recorded instruments (bass drum, snare, etc.)?
Loading articulations that are listed as ‘not loaded’.
I came across an issue while selecting articulations for a snare in the MIDI//E-drums section.

How do I load those articulations?
Lastly –
Is there a MAP of MIDI note assignments for each kit? The notes from different instruments and articulations seem to change from kit to kit with some note assignments staying the same. Trying to figure out how to have a reference sheet so when I setup note triggering in my Roland SPS-S I can easily access all MIDI note numbers to assign.
This would also be useful to use in light of how to separately record different drum lanes to different MIDI tracks in Reaper.
