Is there a way to randomly switch grooves while playing?

Hi --

When auditioning grooves in the Superior Drummer 3 Groove panel, I noticed that when starting one groove and then switching around amongst a vairety of others in the list, the measure/beat position remained in synche across all of them. Looping was enabled and thus I was able to switch around randomly and achieve a nice sequence of non-repetitive drum passages that sounded close tp what a real drummer might do by combining bits and pieces of multiple grooves. I was wondering if there is any facility to automate this and have Superior Drummer 3 do the random groove switching instead of me having to sit there and click around the list of grooves?

This would be so awesome that I'm hoping you guys have already created a facility to do this.

Regards,

Mike

Hi Mike,

this is the open Studio Corner and not the Support section for registered users.
However, I see that you do not have any products registered to your Toontrack account, so I cannot direct you there.
I hope this is simply a matter of you having 2 different accounts so I recommend you to contact Toontrack Support directly by going to:
https://www.toontrack.com/faq/my-issue-is-not-covered-in-this-faq-what-next/
and click 'Contact Support' so they may help you merge your accounts.

BR,
John

Thank you, John, for responding. I haven't actually bought the product yet; I was fooling around with it on the computer of someone who was at a retreat I went to this weekend. But it looks like a very interesting program and I will probably have to get it. Sorry for posting in the wrong place, but as long as I have your attention, perhaps you could answer one quick question for me. Are there any opportunities for developers to program additional functionality using Superior Drummer as an engine -- something like an API? Just curious.
