Runtime Errors usually indicate running out of RAM resources. What are your system specs?

And you get errors with a fresh project and just EZD loaded? What version of EZD are you running?

In Windows 7 32-bit, my guess would be you’re running out of RAM. I would try opening Cubase. Then check your RAM usage in Windows (Open Task Manager and click the Performance tab). This should display the amount of RAM used just by the OS and Cubase. What is left is what you can use for samples and other plugins.

Does EZD 2 open in standalone ok?

Just installed ezd2 on cubase 7, any time i try to do anything i get prompts on the screen ” ezd has crashed” then i get “microsoft visual c ++ runtime library” …..” this application has requested the runtime to terminate”. Whats causing this, and more important how do i fix it. Please and thank you………. My email is jajsound67@gmail.com

Did you get this crash issue resolved? I am running cubase 8 and experiencing the same problem. With 16 gb rams Im not certain if this would be problem. Ezdrummer2 crashes I stand alone mode or in my daw. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I’ve reinstalled 2 or 3 times now…when I’m done successfully installing all of the program, I open up the standalone and it crashes…the sounds work, but it comes up with Runtime Error! Program: C:Program FilesToontrackEZdrummerEZdrummer64.exe.

This application as requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application’s support team for more information.

    Newly installed Win7 Ultimate 64 16 g system.

    Help?

(this is the latest library installed…Visual C++ Redistributable Packages for Visual Studio 2013)

    Hi,
    please try the following:
you need to remove some files in the ‘AppDataRoaming’ folder. This is a hidden folder but you can open the Windows Explorer and type in ‘C:UsersyourComputerUserNameHereAppData’ to access it, or click Start > Computer > Hold ALT + T to get the tools menu open > Folder Options > View > Enable “Show hidden files, folders and drives” and Untick “Hide protected operating system files”. I would prefer the first way myself.
Then please remove the following files:
MidiDB, MidiDB_fav, MidiDB-shm, MidiDB-wal (if they exist) from
    “C:/Users/”CurrentUser”/AppData/Roaming/Toontrack/EZdrummer”
    and
    “C:/Users/”CurrentUser”/AppData/Roaming/Toontrack/EZdrummer/OnlineMIDI”

I’m having this error in Cubase Elements 8.0.30 Windows 10 both 64-bit. I have tried to delete the files suggested with no results. Cubase Elements crash and the 4 files are just created again even though they were deleted manually before.

I have tried to get the crash.dmp messages in Visual Studio. What I get is this code:

    exception code 0xc000005

which seems to be some kind of permission issue. I run Cubase in Administor-mode and I just tried to change the permission for EZdrummer64.exe with no lock. But I guess the dll vst plugin needs to have permission also or something.

I have these crash dumps errors (there was also an error with revireflstudio plugin but I don’t know if this is related to the Ezdrummer crashing.

    I have Ezdrummer 2.1.1

This happens whenever i tried to open my saved project.

Look at the attached crash dmp files:

Edit: Worked again after reboot Embarassed.
Must have something to do with hibernation or something or sleep (the computer of course) in combination with permissions.

I am having the same issue too, “Run Time Error” I’m a newbie so give me a break.
I just recently bought EZd2 last week Nov 26th installed it and was having some dumb ass user issues with the original EZd Manual or learning the program that loaded, so I e-mail EZd and was told to download 2 updates all worked fine UNTIL last night Dec2 I did the UPDATE 2.1.1 and now it crashes!!!
In order for the updates to happen you must rebot your puter, 2 things have changed
    1. the new manual is superior to the older version but no longer supports the second page where you can see Virtual Key Board layout in other words the drums where named on the keys pretty cool but sad their gone.
    2. EZd 2.1.1 update has more new stuff in the menu or perhaps I just didn’t see them?

    Hello John,
Did what you outlined and found MidiDB and Midi_fav
Deleted both of them, will update how things go this weekend.

    Current Op/system –
    Dell Inspiron 545
    Windows 7
Processor: Pentium Dual Core CPU E5300 @2.60GHz x 2.60 GHz
    Ram 6.00GB
    OS 64 bit
    (old stuff I know)

HOWEVER – my new system which I just need to migrate my stuff into hopefully this weekend is a:
    Del lXPS 8700
    Windows 10
    Intel Core i7-4770 CPU @3.40Hz 3.40 GHz
    Ram 16.0 GB
    System Type 64 Bit O/S, X 64 based processor

    Interface UR44

Lastly – User Manual – when I updated the manual 3 days ago I lost the second page showing the Keyboard layout that had the names on the keys for the drum layout.
Am I missing something in the PDF file???

    Thank you

Both? Only 2? No such files in the ‘OnlineMidi’ folder?

Click the EZdrummer Menu in the upper right-hand corner, click ‘About Sound Libraries>EZdrummer 2 Modern>MIDI Layout’.

My bad after rereading your post I found
MidiDB, MidiDB_fav, MidiDB-wal and just now at 6:25pm deleted them
Strange thing to make sure they were gone I double checked and this is what I get
    MidiDB 12/5/2015 6:17PM file
    MidiDB -Fav 12/5/2015 6:17PM file
    MidiDB – Shm 12/5/2015 6:17PM file
    MidiDB -Wal 12/5/2015 6:17PM file
In OTHER words they all came back note the date and time stamp — in both EZd and Midi folders.
I clicked on them and hit “delete” what am I missing??

Thank you for the tip for finding the keyboard layout I couldn’t find it in the “Index”

They are supposed to be re-created by the 2.1.1 application but after that they should not provoke any crashes.
