I have the same problem; on Big Sur 11.2.3, with Logic Pro X 10.6.1.
Indeed very annoying and a little shame that it takes so long to have the right solution.
My work-around now is:
create an empty instrument track above your EZ Keys track;
drag and drop the midi region from EZ Keys to the empty instrument track in Logic;
you get the extra empty region on the empty instrument track and the real midi region on the EZ Keys track below; both regions are selected/highlighted;
deselect both regions and then delete the empty region.
Stil not the way it should be… but we have to be patient.
Cheer up, make some good music!

Well that’s very much disappointing. I have waited 3 Q’s for the release in Q4 and my songs need bass input. I didn’t buy an other bass-player plug-in, but I can’t wait forever. Can Toontrack give a date for launching EZ-bass?
