    Hey Mat,

    your SPD-30

I connected my SPD-20 to my DAW (CAKEWALK) and it was pretty easy.

I had to figure out the workflow.

You need to know what the midi notes were for each drum sound.

To start with, Set your e-drums in EZD3 to the SPD-30 preset.

Now, turn off your local control on your DPD-30

Look at the midi channel chart for a sound. This guy made some charts.

This was created by the Shootie youtube channel.

Go into the drum pad setting and change that note to the corresponding note in EZD3.

You will not be sending audio from the Roland, so the “instruments” are not needed to be set. Just change the midi note being transmitted from the pad..

Once you get sounds from your taps, you just need to set each pad to the sounds you want.

No need to learn midi into EZD3. No need to adjust EXD3 settings.

Set you velocity on the high side at first while you confirm you have control.
