Ah, wait, I am wrong. There is a soundstats.dat in the backup.

This was indeed the solution. I must have accidentally renamed the soundstats.dat file to soundstats at one point. The problem sat once more in front of the pc.

Many thanks for helping me to get it sorted 🙂

    Kind regards

    Many thanks for the idea,

Unfortunately, there is no soundstats.dat file. Just the soundstats file. And when i remove it then it asks me to redownload the libs …

EDIT, just searched for the soundstats.dat file. And there is none. Not even in my backup, which is a week old, before SD has quit working.

if you start the Product Manager application, does it tell you to Authorise? If so, does it work to?

No, in the manager everything is green and tells me ready to use.

    Many thanks Olof

So the problem is my core library? The 240 gb package? That’s at another drive. And as you can see in the shot, the EZDrummer files are at drive C.

    What is the solution here?

    Hey there,

I have the same symptoms here after an incorrect update with SL Avatar 2.0, which i could resolve by reinstalling it. Updater looked like in the attachment.

As told, this issue is resolved. But now SD 3 does not let me log in again. I have even reinstalled SD3 (without the libs)

Olof mentioned EZDrummer libraries that could be in the way. Which i of course also have installed. But this all worked just fine until the incorrect SL Avatar update. I remain riddled what the problem could be.

Do you have any advice? I have already contacted the support. But i want to make music …

    Kind regards

Thanks. Will try next time. I had downloaded the whole lib again ^^

Nothing official as you can see. The problem gets ignored.

The solution is to remove everything and to start over. 250 Gb redownloading all the libs again for fixing a wrong path.

I’m running into the same error at the moment. You should definitely investigate in what is going on here. I have to download 40 gb now to fix the path.

Yes, that was it. The download version installs just fine. Thanks for help :)

What’s a bit disturbing is that it installs to C now. Without a way to install it to another direction. But that’s something i have to live with i guess.

    Thanks David :)

Should’ve said that i have DVD’s here, not the download version. I have meanwhile made even a clean reinstall. Uninstalled everything, cleaned my registry, installed everyhting from scratch with just the default settings, no luck. The problem is not that the DVD hangs. But the installer simply refuses to accept Superior Drummer it seems, and searches for the EZDrummer installation instead. Which of couse does not exist since i have Superior Drummer installed.

Hm. Sounds like it could work to register my dvd’s and try it with the download instsaller. Let’s have a look if that helps :)
