Programming accents or break is not easy in EZD2 used stand-alone, especially if you do not have a MIDI controller. The only way to do this is using the mouse to click the elements of the kit during looped recording. As EZD offers no graphical grooves editing (via piano-roll/drum-edit), it is hard to get out something coherent instinctively. One way to improve this would be an “accents-track”. A sort of time-line representing the time grid with the relevant divisions according to either the zoom level (plus the fastest rhythmic divisions we zoom the more we see appear as triplet-notes), or with a menu allowing the user to select the rhythmic division of the quantization. It would then only check the time positions on which one wishes to place the accents.
A second menu in this editor would, like the “Selected” Amount of the function, to choose which instrument(s) of the kit must be applied and emphases for each of accents.
Each accent, it would obviously be possible to manage the velocity.
Sorry for my bad english... I'm just a froguitarist...
