Ya, I tried re-installing everything – not happening.

    Thx for your help.

I have come full circle at this point.
Re-installing at this stage has put me back into my loop. Installing will not give me the option to choose where I install.  All attempts at getting standalone working has failed.
    I will try support.
    thx again.

    App location: Macintosh HD/Applications/Toontrack/EZDrummer 3.app
Folder is there but with shortcuts for PM and documentation only – no app

    VST3 Location: Macintosh HD/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/EZdrummer 3.vst3
    Good

    Support Folder Macintosh HD//Users/(your name)/Library/Application Support/Toontrack/EZDrummer 3
    Good

    VST plugin will not install/open.
Spotlight search results in no EZdrummer

On further testing (see previous post) following all the above procedures it does indeed install correctly, but only the non stand-alone version. Not a deal breaker but it does indicate something is wrong.
Also, it automatically installs in the same location (not the one I chose) but on the external drive.
So when I un-installed, something is remembering where it was installed previously and not giving me the option as if it were a fresh install.
Again, after a lot of googling I thought I deleted everything related to EZdrummer (by uninstall and manually).
So I just want my system to do a “fresh” install as if it were the first time.

Hey, Really appreciate you trying help out.

About the loop – before all this re-installing mess, I installed EZ2 – went fine except I could only install to internal HD – no prompt to re-locate.
After reading all the helpful advice here, I thought I uninstalled, ready for new installation.

Not sure if relevant but EZ3 was an upgrade from EZdrummer 2.

In PM- After trying to uninstall everything everything looks ready for installation on the surface but…. I see “EZ drummer 3 upgrade ready to use. No idea why it is not seen as deleted. In “show details”, says “Standalone version not installed”. From EZdrummer 3 upgrade section, downloaded and installed. Same message for the upgrade about standalone not installed. Not sure what the upgrade represents – the actual app?
So, went to Core library installation. When it went thru the process, did not ask for a location for the data, just went ahead and installed to the same location where I installed initially (not where I want it) – was a 15GB file and took about 5 seconds, so not sure what it actually did.

Major headaches trying to do this.

Uninstall messed things up further. Product manager telling me “no uninstaller available”
Tried doing it manually by just trashing the app has confused the PM and I’m sent into an installation loop.

I just want to start from scratch – how do I remove all traces of the original install?

Sample libraries are on an external SSD in the root. Want to create a folder there and just move all folders into one folder.

    Now:
    My_Ext_Drive/multiple folders

    Intention after locating:
    My_Ext_Drive/EZdrummer/multiple folders

Not sure how to upload image – doesn’t show.

Essentially when I go to search for new location, “locate” is greyed out.

I can only navigate to the new location (show in finder) but once I’m there there is no way to complete the tasks as in “choose” or “select.” I’m left hanging there.

Original folder is the root – so no folder.

    Is this still possible?
