I just upgraded my Dell laptop’s 512 gig SSD drive to a 2 TB SSD drive. When I opened up EZ Drummer 2, an authorization window opened up, and I authorized the computer. It was painless, unlike many of my other plug-ins. I think this is normal when you change harddrives. I don’t know about upgrading the OS, or other hardware.

Yeah, 32 bit has limitations in how much it can access in terms of RAM, and many other things.

Maybe try loading a smaller kit, and see what happens?

To get the full functionality, you’ll need 64 bit. If Toontracks didn’t make this explicitly clear, I’d ask for a refund, unless you intend to upgrade.

I have EZD2, but MT Power Drums and Steven Slate have free versions. Maybe see if they have 32 bit versions.

I’ll not familiar with Ableton. Do you have the option to direct Ableton to scan a specific path, to where the .dll files are? My daw normally picks up new plugins, but on occasion a plugin vendor puts the .dlls in a weird place, and I have to direct my daw to scan that path.

Maybe this will help. I don’t use FL, but you shouldn’t have to “put” the dll anyplace. The installer should.

I don’t have Ableton, but it works in my DAW. You have every track armed to record (assuming that’s necessary in Ableton)? Anyway, here’s a good tutorial.

I own EXDrummer 2 + a sound pack. I had same problem after demoing EZKeys. I ended up uninstalling everything via Window’s Add/Remove- including updates, then reinstalling everything I owned throught the Product Manager. Toontrack has terrible support, and I’d hesitate to ever buy anything from them again, unless they have a super-sale, which is rare.

Don’t forget to apply any updates.

I had same problem, on my very high resolution monitor.

Right click the Toontrack icon, left click properties, left click “open file location. When you find the .exe file, right click, left click properties, go to the Compatabilities tab. I can’t recall what I did exactly, but I unchecked “disable fullscreen optimization,” then I did something in “Chandge High DPI Settings.” These are my settings so the UI didn’t need a magnifying glass. Make sure you click Applu. This worked for me, is all I can say.

I was pretty pissed that Toontrack never even respond to my email.

PS: I don’t know how mk3 works, but I have the Arturia KeyLab keyboard/controller surface. If I don’t tick off the 2nd option, midiin2, my pads don’t work, but my keyboard does. So start with ticking off everything in mk3, or go one by one, if you have multiple options.

Are you saying you can’t use EZ in standalone mode? If yes, have you gone to Settings>Midi, and ticked off mk3? See pic.

The mk3 won’t see the standalone, unless you direct the program to recognize it as the controller.

If you see movement on the drum kit, but no sound, you may have to play with the audio settings.

When a big holiday occurs, there’s often sales. I got about $50 off, during Thanksgiving-Xmas. My guess would be around July 4th for the next big sale, but you never know.

Are you talking about browsing the midi files available….then purchasing and download?

I want to be able to browse the Toontrack midi collection. To see what they have!

    thanks

Sorry, I was talking strictly about downloading, but not browsing.

But my original answer still may be the solution. I have a paid for AV program, with all kinds of protections against malware etc. I noticed certain sites wouldn’t load, and I had to turn off my AV software. Sometimes, simply clicking “off” really doesn’t turn the AV program totally off. Disable adblockers too (though you normally get a popup message).

To completely turn off your AV program, Hold ctrl+alt+ del, then click Task Manager. Find your AV program, left click to highlight it, then right-click, then left click “end task.”

Or, try another browser? I use Chrome, with few problems.

I had a similar problem, and hopefully this will work for you, as it did for me: turn off any firewalls, or your anti-virus software. I was going nuts until someone on these boards suggested that to me, and boom, I was able to fully download.

    Quick update, Scott.

Support got back to me, and I was told I wasn’t eligible for the EZX. Not your problem, but I’m attaching a screenshot of the free offer, and people can make what they want of the language.

    I appreciate your help.

I see. Not sure how you ended up with a better than advertised deal. I believed that says buy a full priced regular EZD2 ($179) and get a free EZX. I believe your EZD2 and EZX deal was better than $179 no?

Well, depending on how you look at it. I had about an hour to order it before the sale ended. The screenshot I attached was there- “Free EZX, 1 Nov-31 Dec, etc.” I bought Hit because it looked interesting.

I received a response from support regarding this: >>The Free EZX is part of an ongoing sale for the normally priced EZDrummer 2. Since you took advantage of the Black Friday weekend deal, you got a much better deal. The deep discount offered for $90 is better than $179 plus a free EZX.

I’m not sure how the webshop deals are handled. You’ll need to contact Toontrack Support directly via the Contact Support button in the FAQ below for webshop inquiries.

Did you pay full price for EZD2 and get the Number 1 Hits EZX free?

I paid the sale price for EZD2, and I paid the sale price for Number 1 Hits.  I attached a screenshot in my original post showing there’s a free EZX, however, I was never prompted to choose one.

As indicated on the website, the sales run from 11/1-12/31, including the free EZX.

I’ve sent an email to support. Thanks very much for your help.
