I have vodafone for my broadband and for some reason I had a similar/same problem to you.
Its like they have blocked the site on their isp.
What I finally did after hours of mucking about was to tether my mac to my iphone . And create a hotspot from my iphone using my mobile data. (Giff gaff which is O2). And it worked straight away. Just used lots of data!
