    BEST ANSWER

The info here contains the gist of the answer (thanks!) but for clarity in case anyone else gets this on a search –  here’s how it worked for me in a bit more detail:

I had copied some Midi from an old PC, just using windows explorer; I pasted this into the User Midi folder for EZD3 on my new PCand it showed in EZD3 browser – but with no files – just like OP; similarly I could see and play the midi no probs in EZD2 – just like OP. In the Grooves Browser window in EZD3, if you return to the User Midi section you will see a little notification dot advising un-synced files. Right Click here and select ‘Sync File Changes’ and EZD3 will now incorporate the Midi into your EZD3 library.

Reply To: EZ Drummer 3 not showing all user midi files, EZ Drummer 2 does show them version: 3.0.6
    Operating system: Windows 11

Thanks, this needs to be the top answer, it resolved the issue very simply.

I’ve been wondering if that might happen with files being added. Have you tried linking the new folder in it’s own right or unlinking the Groove Monkee folder and linking again?

Thanks for the reply. I just tried adding the path directly to the new midi folder in EZD3 and it does scan it that way and the files show up in the new path I added to EZD3. So at least I have a workaround now. Thanks for the help.

I have to agree with the comments here, it’s really annoying and cumbersome not to have real keyboard shortcuts in EZD 2 standalone mode. It’s really stupid to say it would be deemed as confusing to allow the shortcuts in standalone and not in the DAW. You are underestimating the intelligence of your users and making the product very difficult to use. I too think that the keyboard shortcuts should be a priority, it is almost a deal breaker that this feature is not implemented (it may become a deal breaker the more that I try use this product).

Thanks. Just so I’m clear, if I purchase Electronic EZX and download it would there be an additional update I would need to download before it would work with EZ Drummer 2? Or would the initial download of the product be the latest version that is compatible with EZ Drummer 2?

    Thanks.
